Hi I am not Carina Landin, but I will act as her translater. I know you have questions about her test and probably about her too.
Please stick to asking questions in this thread and talk about Carina in the other thread. The answers will posted here when Carina has answered and we don't know how long that will take. So be patient.

Well, I will start, with basic question number one. To be asked anyone who claims they can do anything better than most people.
What qualifications and experience has Carina Landin to do what she claims to be able to do?
- Does she have access to suitable diaries?
- Have she been able to tell anything about the author she did not know beforehand?
- How was the information verified?
- Any supporting documentation?

What qualifications and experience has Carina Landin to do what she claims to be able to do?
She works at a medium from time to time and has been doing that for about three years.
- Does she have access to suitable diaries? (for training purpose)
She uses personal belongings from deceased when she does private reading. Sometimes diaries.
- Have she been able to tell anything about the author (or owner of a ring or whatever) she did not know beforehand?
Yes, plenty.
- How was the information verified?
By their relatives at the sitting.
- Any supporting documentation?
(anecdotal)
More to come.

I would like to know what Carina's diet consists of. What does she eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I think this is the key to her special powers. Recipes for these meals would be much appreciated!

Here are some information I have received from Carina.
Carina’s test date is not yet decided.
No spectators at the test. Carina will be nervous enough.
She feels comfortable with this test since she had done similar things hundreds of times.
She claims a success rate at 80 percent or more on things that are gender neutral.
No statistics are used by Carina to record her hit/miss ratio but she says she remembers misses.
When she holds a diary/something else she “sees a person like you see your grandpa when you think of him”. She also feels where they were hurt and say things that are shown to be memories and events from the deceased person’s life and is confirmed by the sitter.
If the diary author is shown as a beautiful woman but was actually a man she hopes she will receive that information anyway.
She starts every reading by telling her costumers about cold reading. And she does the first 10-20 minutes with her eyes closed to ensure no cold reading is used. :)

Carina thinks the big names in the ”industry” should be tested. A big name doesn’t mean they have talent.
It is hard to “out” yourself to the public and that is why many mediums refuse to be tested.
She doesn’t know why every tested psychic has failed before. Under a strict protocol that is.
Randi and the JREF have treated her well. Sven-Ove Hansson has been very polite and never lost his temper. Carina has “chased” Sven-Ove for about two years.
She doesn’t like the “glamorisation” of psychics on TV channels only looking for high ratings. Psychics should work more privately helping people and she thinks they (her included of course) can.
She would like to work with the police.
During her psychic training she was tested by the psychic teacher.
If she fails the test it is because she is bad and not because the paranormal doesn’t exist.

Ms. Landin, so far rational sources do not claim to have evidence for paranormal, occult or supernatural powers.
What makes you sure - except your past in which you claim to have "done similar things hundreds of times" - that you will prove in a scientific test to be able to defy a lot of commonly accepted laws of nature?
Please keep in mind that I would absolutely like to see your "ability" verified. Thank you.

Ms. Landin, do you charge money for your services? If so, how much?
Have you contacted police authorities with your request? Which and when?

(Edited to rephrase the question.)

Hi,
Would it be possible for you to translate what she writes to you, instead of paraphrasing?
I have some queries on a few things mentioned, but I don't know if any of it has come through as your interpretation of her words, or direct translation.
Thanks.

We appreciate your time and effort, case sensitive. Nice going.
But I'd also prefer a direct translation as chillzero has proposed. Thank you.

There is a lot of text and so little time. But if you ask her a question you will get her answer.
How about asking and you'll see.

I asked a question but, as yet, have received no reply. Will continued patience result in an answer to my question? If so, I'll continue to wait. Thank you.

Obviously she doesn't know that and I will ask her to explain her definition of cold reading.

Well, you said you were taking on that task, so I would expect to see you print here the text you receive from her, and your translation of that same text. If I was fluent in any language other than english, I would do so in this manner.
All this means is that whatever you state here as being her words, cannot be relied upon to be an accurate reflection of what she actually says. I don't mean this as anything other than a stated fact - I am not trying to upset you, because we do appreciate the effort made.

Where do babies come from? (sorry I couldn't resist).
Does everyone have this ability? (If not, what makes her special?)

"No"
250 kronor is 34 USD.

Can you define cold reading? Please tell us what you tell your costumers.
"If I understand it right you can read a persons reactions when you give information about the dead. Through the answers you receive and the reactions, like wrinkling your forehead or nodding. That is why I close my eyes and the sitter aren't allowed to say a word. After 10-20 minutes of information I ask if they recognises anything. Then I do it again."

Does everybody have your gift? If not, what makes you special?
"I believe everyone has it, but it is like drawing, some are really good and others
make stick figures (streckgubbe- it was the best translation I found on the net.)

It's because the color of my hair doesn't match the color of my moustache, isn't it? Once again, Clairol has let me down. And you guys are mean. It takes me hours each morning to get my hair to look this way. Neither color is natural, mind you. Would it help if I switched to being a redhead?

Can you ask my departed Uncle Gary what his nickname for me was? If you get it right, I will send you a 1 hour fee.
What other information (other than the nickname, of course) do you need in order to contact him to ask or to divine the nickname?

If this means your avatar taking a sawed-off shotgun blast to the head from 5 ft. distance, [Expletive Deleted] yeah that would help. :D :D :D

Carina’s test date is not yet decided.
Guess she can't tell the future, then...
