Well, investigation is such a non-public process, right ? I guess they feel left out, and therefore it's suspicious.
It wasn't that non-public. Both Public and Government officials were at ground zer. Anyone who says that people were blocked off from Ground Zero are simply lying.

Something I find curious about the new LCIII Trailer thingy that was linked to earlier...
One of the solid CT claims is that no criminal investigation ever occured - there were investigations into the building collapses, etc, but the govt. just came out and said Osama did it.
Yet, at the beginning of this new video they use press conferences with the Director of the FBI talking about the in depth and ongoing criminal investigation into the attacks and who carried them out.
So if "no proper criminal investigation" was ever carried out, why do they have video footage of the FBI talking about their investigation?

Proving James' point, this guy became famous for his proof that wooden planes could not have crashed into a wooden World Trade Center. He's back with a scientific experiment (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=125&topic_id=56836&mesg_id=56836) that will both amaze and astound you. When you read further in that thread, it's clear the author is pulling their chains. Probably a JREF Ninja.
"Morequarky" at first seems reasonable, and willing to learn, but yet he keeps holding on to the belief of a conspiracy. He knows Loose Change is full of lies and mistakes, but he keeps holding on. I don't get these people.
And Jenabell's photoshop skills suck big time.

So if "no proper criminal investigation" was ever carried out, why do they have video footage of the FBI talking about their investigation?
It wasn't just a criminal investigation, it was by far the largest in American history. The FBI alone had 7,000 agents on the case. Nothing has come anywhere close. The same CTs whine that the FBI took jurisdiction away from the NTSB...because it was a criminal investigation!
Here's a funny email I got today, apparently from a LC forum member (I've left his name out, but someone with the same name posts there).
Dear Mark
I assume you are a spook masquerading as a sincere individual.
What awaits you when you pass on? Is it the glory of someone who stood up to tyranny at the cost of their personal wealth, prestige and safety?
Or is it unending bitter regret that you could have stood for something but never grasped the opportunity while it was available?
I feel for you Mark. WWIII is within a few years of breaking out. Most of us
will die in that war. What will I see of you in eternity? A light-radiating hero, revered by all? Or a sobbing recluse filled with regret at the loss of a never to be repeated chance?
I say it again, whistleblowers are heros Mark.
My reply:
A spook? I'm a New York City tour guide, genius.
I notice that you didn't reply with anything that Loose Change got right and I got wrong. None of its supporters has. What seems to be the trouble?
I agree that whistleblowers can be heroes.
And people who choose to ignore mountains of evidence in favor of adolescent video-game fantasies, are they also heroes? People who lie about 9/11, are they heroes? Because those are the people you support.
Good luck with your apocalyptic paranoia.

No, that's a guy named Mark. I refused to "correct" my work because it was he who was completely wrong (Guess what? The towers didn't fall at free-fall speed!). Actually, I was just talking about the PERCEIVED secrecy of investigations, because CTers aren't privy to it. With TV they just have to watch.

Bwahaha! On that thread, NesNYC says this:
Yeah, cause Mark Roberts get on there and lies about the direction the plane is heading. This plane was heading towards Queens, that's not only an odd flight path, but it just doesn't happen every day. Planes fly around Manhattan, not cross it, ever. All the area airports are outside the lower Manhattan and have holding patterns that circle, not cross, the lower Manhattan area.
Read my reply to Mark, I think he just got OWNED.
Holy, cow, What an idiot. He obviously hadn't read my replies. He said he knew New York like the back of his hand, and I told him he needed to study his hand a lot more. What a flaming fool.

It's a PR release from PR Web--basically Fetzer submitted it and it gets on Yahoo News automatically.
Anybody really believe this guy's kids were threatened over this goofy article on the elephant plane? BTW, on the forum on that paper, I think Gravy's misspoken here (http://www.atfreeforum.com/911studies/viewtopic.php?t=6&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30&mforum=911studies):
The camera is to the west. The plane is headed north.
Isn't the camera to the east, looking roughly west? I hesitate here because my initial assumption is that if Gravy and I disagree, it's because I've made a mistake somewhere, but I did check this fairly carefully and it certainly appears to me that we're looking at the damage to the east side of the north building.
I also love MMC's insistence that's an AWACS plane. You'd think he'd look at the wing positions on the two pictures he shows and realize they cannot possibly be the same plane.

Can we submit a press release on how the "scholars" are a bunch of hypocritical whiny self-martyred idiots?
No, but there would not be much difficulty to submitting press releases on errors that we find in the work of the "Scholars".
The Screw Loose Change blog today called on James Fetzer to withdraw his claim that Barbara Olson is alive and living in Europe.
"Scholars for 9-11 Truth Co-Chair James Fetzer claimed on the Alan Colmes show that he had a report that Barbara Olson was alive in Europe," said a spokesman for Screw Loose Change. "This report appears to have originated with Tom Flocco, a supposed internet "journalist" whose other recent scoops included the reported death of Katherine Harris and the indictments of President Bush, Vice President Richard Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. For Dr Fetzer to pass on this unsubstantiated rumor is callous and insensitive to the feelings of Mrs Olson's family and friends. It appears that the Scholars are not overly concerned with the "Truth".

Someone linked me to a video game developer site where a looser posted "9/11 cover up" topic to gain new members.
I replied for the hell of it and the lead designer of the company posted this interesting gem that went through my head.
J.E Sawyer, lead designer of Obsidian Entertainment (NWN2) quotes
The people who made this video rely very heavily on people not stopping to read the additional text provided with their three-second screen splashes and fun facts.
E.g.: "Bomb sniffing dogs are pulled from the World Trade Center and security guards end two weeks of 12-hour shifts."
Additional text of note on screen for two seconds:
The World Trade Center was destroyed just days after a heightened security alert was lifted...
"Today was the first day there was not the extra security." [guard] Coard said. "We were protecting below. We had the ground covered. We didn't figure they would do it with planes. There is no way anyone could have stopped that."
Security guard Hermina Jones said officials had recently taken steps to secure the towers against aerial attacks by installing bulletproof windows and fireproof doors in the 22nd-floor computer command center.
It's potentially problematic to consider that the security leaving had been additional security added in response to previous threats. It sounds much more conspiratorial if the standing security force was reduced, which is what many probably infer from the narrator's quote. It's also bizarre that the 22nd floor had additional security added to protect the computer command center. If this were an "inside job", it would be moronic to ensure the safety of a communications center that could potentially send out messages such as, "Hey, bombs were rigged to go off in here." or to record footage of incriminating evidence.
Then there's the conspicuous absence of the date at which the extra security was pulled. The narrator doesn't mention the timeframe, but the guard in the article says that only a single day had passed. That leaves exactly one day for a crack team of demolitions ninjas to rig the entire building.
Of course, the most telling indicator of massive B.S. piling up is the narrator's almost continual use of the passive voice for every conspiratorial action mentioned. Forces "were pulled". Put options "were placed". Who did this? You get dinged for this sort of irresponsible junk on freshman papers, even in our crummy American colleges.
The Chicago-Tribune article quoted for almost every single one of the put option figures can be found here (http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/columnists/chi-0109190296sep19,0,3496437.story).
Please note the headline -- which isn't visible in the video -- "Terrorist trade probe widens". The article is about how security regulators are investigating the possibility that the terrorist groups who engineered the attacks were the ones who did the options trading to profit from their own actions.
The narrator doesn't assign agency to these events and excludes any contextual information that might lead you away from the conspiratorial conclusion he wants you to reach. He presents fun facts in a way that leads your mind down a logical path. But it's selective and often very misleading.
Hey, if anyone wants to swallow everything this dude throws out without following up in his sources, you can believe whatever you want to believe. But this is what I believe: there is no way that the administration that engineered and ran our war in Iraq to date possesses one-tenth the coordination and competence required to pull off the amazing conspiratorial feats suggested in this documentary.
Our government's IRS and Department of Education apparently can't figure out between both of them what my address is -- and they did this?! COME. ON.

Daniels thinks we JREFers are all spooks. So he's trying to "turn" us, by telling us we'll be heroes if we blow the whistle. He "thinks" so, does he?
Goodness, is there no end to some people's believing something just because it occurrs to them? Y'know, with zero evidence to support the belief?
I was ruminating a bit on this today, and I wonder if we're seeing a byproduct of our times. When all the little children are told how wonderful they are in every way; everybody gets a trophy for participating, regardless of their demonstrated ability; teens are fed (largely by Madison Ave., and related forces) a constant diet of "your voice matters."
In short, Western society has largely bred an "it's all about me" race of just-barely-sentient fools. Dismissive of higher learning, disrespectful of accomplishment, distrusting of whatever challenges their precious beliefs...because they're theirs.
Egos fattened up to the point of obesity. Perhaps whence the term "fathead" arose.

My experience is that SOT is correct. One well known Star Trek fan, whom I know, criticized the state of ST. Soon after she received hate mail, calling her a traitor to Trek. She even got threatening phone calls, and one person even showed up at her house. People with a cult mentality can be unpredictable. I think it would be hard to find out who sent life threatening e-mails, but keep a journal/log of the threats and if one comes through the mail inform the Postal Inspectors immediately. And on a slightly more serious note; I think it would be funny to have a photograph of Chucksheen, JohndoeX, Jenabell or Roxdog or whoever it was that wrote that threat being led away in an orange jumpsuit and leg chains with PWNED on it in big red letters for Marky and Gravy to add to the bottom of future editions of thier debunkings.

I found this in a DU post (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=125x58416) on one of Holmgren's nuttier articles regarding his "no-planes" theory. One of the repliers noted that Holmgren had attacked Stephen Jones in an article here (http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=9551). That article promises much more to come, which was apparently going to be here (http://members.iinet.net.au/~holmgren/darkside.html). Among the items supposed to appear there:
Part 2 Summarized critique of Jones paper
Part 3 What kind of plane is it, Professor Jones ?
Part 4 The muddled thinking of Professor Jones (in preparation )
But something happened. According to Holmgren:
My deconstruction of that attack was highly embarrassing to Jones, and consequently he quickly removed the offending remarks from subsequent drafts of his paper.
However it should be noted that although he removed the offending text, he refused to actually issue a retraction of the remarks, which gives cause for suspicion that he intends to attempt a better thought out recycling of the same attack at a later date.
In spite of my displeasure at his refusal to retract, I have taken down the original article as a peace offering to Professor Jones, considering that he at least removed the remarks from later drafts.
Yep, that's right, Holmgren had this brilliant argument debunking Professor Jones, but he took it down as a quid pro quo for Jones' ceasing to mock the no-planers.
So much for the "Truth".

The following is the e-mail I recieved today from Earl Pomeroy. I plan a follow-up with a few more sources, but the fact that he looked is a step in the right direction.
More to come.....
Dear Brandon:
Thank you for contacting me regarding the events of September 11th. I appreciate hearing from you.
I understand your interest in Professor Steven E. Jones' paper regarding the events of September 11, 2001. Professor Jones of Brigham Young University (BYU) conjectures that pre-positioned cutter-charges, not planes, were the cause of the destruction of the Twin Towers. As you know, the 9-11 Commission does not agree with this theory and states that fires plus impact damage alone caused the collapse of the buildings.
While there are certainly people who support Professor Jones's hypothesis, BYU has issued the following statement, "Professor Jones's department and college administrators are not convinced that his analyses and hypotheses have been submitted to relevant scientific venues that would ensure rigorous technical peer review. The structural engineering faculty in the Fulton College of Engineering and Technology do not support the hypotheses of Professor Jones." I appreciate your sharing this report with me, and I will be certain to keep it in mind as Congress further evaluates national security issues.
Again, thank you for contacting me. I hope you will stay in touch.
Sincerely,
EARL POMEROY

"But now I am forced to suckle from the 16 poisoned leathern teats of Gophahmet, Whore of Betrayal, until I burst from an unwholesome engorgement of curdled bile. This must be some sort of terrible mistake."Been one of my favorites since it was first published.

What they should do is come here and debate the issue like civilized people. These threats and hate mails show what a bunch of low-life sums they are.
They are either afraid to be shown wrong because deep down they know that they are wrong, or they're just not interested in finding out the "truth" at all.

While the hijackers burn, all of the structural engineers who Fetzer condemned to a "special place in hell" have forged enough steel to build a ladder that allows them to escape, only to find that the earth's inhabitants have all been crushed by the faulty buildings designed by non-engineers.

With an exclamation point no less. He didn't say "hope" or "wish" or "think". He's using very definate terms in speaking of POTUS's impending trip to the underworld.

I think a sizable number of the posters are just immature punks. I'm not saying that to excuse them. The Internet, with all it's glory and value, unfortunately provides a forum for these punks to display their immature antics. They lack that portion of the brain that recognizes the enormity and significance of the tragedy. It's just a joke to them. Make jokes at the expense of others is their M.O. 9/11 is just a vehicle. I suspect they are punks, inside their head, and not the kind who join street gangs. While both groups are ultimately cowards, this group lacks the social skills fit to in a gang. I liken these punks to neo-nazi's and think they could switch back and forth without dropping a stitch.
I'm not trying to categorize all of them this way. The leaders deserve their own filleting. Then there are the sheep, the "me too" crowd, who just want to fit in and are to weak to think on their own and will follow whatever leader they think can offer the most emotional safety.
What do you think jenabell, which group are you in? I'm guessing the last one?

For the record, in my opinion, the powers that be had nothing to fear of what Ken Lay might say in a trial, the trial was over. He was awaiting sentencing, and the sentence was gonna be heavy - they got him on 10 counts. The rub is, in my opinion, he was an insider, he was not one to be cast aside, they put him into their "conspirator protection program" and slipped him out to Europe. Ken Lay is now living the good life with all the other CPP's lol.
I used to think Barbara Olsen, fl. 77 passenger and wife of the Solicitor General, actually died in the plot and her husband Ted was probably complicit in sending her to her death. However I think that not to be the case. Ted quit his government job and is rumored to have dissapeared into Europe. That's where Kenny-boy, as George Bush affectionately calls him, is as well, dollars to donuts.
Amazing!

A strange point about the Enron trial is that after the accused were convicted their sentence date was set on 9/11 2006. It seems this date has some significance to some one????
That is interesting. Just another sick inside joke busting our balls that mom and pop america with the yellow troops ribbons will never hear or never get.
Reallt, I think that's a riot. A real good sick inside joke - and I DO get it! It's kinda fun to be in on it while Mr and Mrs America stumble around stupidly. I should drop a note to the judge saying that was really funny to do that.
That's one thing truthers and neocons share in common. Unlike most, we all see the world for what it is.
Really in twenty five years we should all get together with Bush having a drink and a laugh about all the good tricks they pulled on America and how they all fell for every one. We'd be like hanging in a pub and America would be like Charlie Chaplin slipping on the 9/11 banana peel over and over again.
One word: Hubris.
Ugly when expressed by the talented or brilliant. It's rude; but somewhat understandable. However, when done by the deluded and addle-brained.....it becomes simply incomprehensible.
I guess it's true. Irony is wasted on the stupid....and these people are deeply evil-stupid.

Actually CTs will believe stories reported in the MSM so long as these stories seem to support their claims. For example, the "hijackers are still alive" claims are based on media reports from mainstream sources(incredibly outdated of course), and we are supposed to take that at face value(many of them will mention the articles without posting the actual thing). Of course if something is reported that contradicts their theory, then we CAN'T TRUST THE MSM!
Just one of the MANY hilarious paradoxes that pervade the conspiracy movement. Of course my favorite is the "Conspirators are super-geniuses but also total retards at the same time" paradox.

Well,
They also state that the CIA has given up the hunt for UBL. Of course nothing of the kind is going on. The loosers have (willfully?) mis-interpreted a CIA re-structuring of anti-terrorism offices. UBL and AQ were once dangerous enough that there was an office dedicated only to them. Now AQ and UBL have been deemed to be (rightly or wrongly?) less dangerous and are now rolled into the general anti-terrorism efforts of CIA.
Obviously CIA has not halted the hunt for UBL...but the loosers are over there stating that FBI "has no evidence" and CIA "has called off the hunt for UBL".
They are not simply idiots...they are dishonest idiots. So there's likely some FBI quote taken out of it's original context that makes up the substance of this lie.

also weird Al was (is?) very careful to make music which sounded similar, but was not an exact copy of the originals. What he didn't do was use some crappy voice removal software on a bad remix of his targets songs, and then add his own lyrics.

The key issue as I recall from the Jibjab "This Land Is Your Land" lawsuit was whether the intent was to parodize the song or work in question, or to use the song to get across another message. Weird Al's stuff was clearly parody, as was (for example) Bored of the Rings. Unfortunately the Jibjab lawsuit was dropped, so I'm not sure where the line is.

The FBI says: "We don't have sufficient evidence against OBL for trial"
We hear: "The FBI doesn't have sufficient evidence against OBL"
The truthers hear: "The FBI says that OBL didn't do it and had nothing to do with it"
Wether the FBI said it isn't the issue. The truthers will read what they want to hear into simple statements and then repeat thier misreading as gospel.
Silverstien says: "Pull it [the firefighting team] from the building"
Truthers hear: "Blow the @#$%er up and gimme my insurance payout"
Besides, the FBI and the US Attorneys will likely never have to worry about getting OBL in a courtroom. When they located Zarqawi, US and Iraqi authorities skipped the arrest, arraignment, pre-trial motions, selection of venue, voir dire, and trial stages and had the air force come in and carry out the sentence.
I suspect Osama will get a similar laser-guided writ of habeus corpus.

I would have bet my life that song was a joke, intended as a goof on the 9/11 twoof movement. And now I learn it was written by Dr. Jones himself??
I already knew that these guys were nuts. But I never fully grasped the depth and breadth of their collective insanity until I listened to that song, and then was informed it was a serious attempt at...something, I'm not sure what.

I heard that William Rodriguez was contacted by the NIST to testify but that he demanded thousands of dollars to do so and kept dodging them by changing his addess.

His exact words were "Bush and Co. will join there buddies there shortly!"
With an exclamation point no less. He didn't say "hope" or "wish" or "think". He's using very definate terms in speaking of POTUS's impending trip to the underworld.
I would like to know why he is so certain? I'm sure a pair of USSS agents showing up on his parents doorstep (he's probably 14-16) would scare the answer to that question out of him quite quickly.
We live in a society where kids get arrested for having plastic picnic knives in thier lunchboxes or for drawing maps of thier schools. But here's one who says "The President is going to go to hell soon" and you think that isn't actionable?
No, sorry, but I don't think that's actionable. First of all, he doesn't say that he (or anyone he knows) is going to do anything. Second, for all you know, his way of getting Bush in hell is to buy a voodoo doll of Bush and rip it's head off.

Very well said, stipmunk.
This constant cry of "We're just asking questions" is total b.s. The answers to those questions are usually right in front of their faces. They just cannot accept it.
I wonder how this works in daily life. CT's, what do you do at the supermarket?
CT: I don't see a price on this. Someone must be conspiring to keep the prices from me! I DEMAND TO SEE A PRICE ON THIS! I'M ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS PRICE AND DEMANDING ANSWERS!
Stock boy: Sir, the price is there on the shelf below the product. Here's the product name, see, and the price of $2.99, and next to that is the unit price per – sir, it's over here. Sir, the price for this product is not in that aisle over there. Sir?
CT: THAT PRICE WAS OBVIOUSLY PLANTED THERE! I DO NOT ACCEPT THAT PRICE! I DEMAND AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE PLANTING OF THE PRICE AND THE OBVIOUS COVERUP! AND WHEN THE CRAP HITS THE FAN IT'S GOING TO BE YOUR ASS IN THE CHINESE-MADE GUILLOTINE, STOCK BOY, FOR SUPPORTING THIS MASSIVE PRICE-UNFIXING CONSPIRACY!
Stock boy: Sir, I'm pretty sure they used guillotines to –
CT: I DEMAND ANSWERS!
So, CTs, is that how it goes at the supermarket? And if not, why? Because that's exactly how you're acting here. Why do different standards of logic and evidence apply here than in the rest of your world?
Finally:would YOU want to be judged by your own standards? Would your standard of evidence be acceptable to you if you were on trial? Suppose the prosecution were allowed to act like you?
Think about it.

Speaking of God and the Good Professor; I sent Jones an e-mail today apealing to him as a fellow mormon to issue a rebuttal to James Fetzers "all structural engineers are going to hell" remarks.
To be a paid employee of Brigham Young University or any church owned institution, one must be a member of the church in good standing. This includes not only Jones but also Dr. A. Woodruff Miller, chair of BYUs Civil Engineering department and Professor D. Allan Firmage, also a structural engineering professor at BYU. Both of whom have publicly critiscized Jones conclusions. That fact that Dr. Miller and Prof. Firmage are both in good standing with BYU proves they are in good standing with the church as well.
I asked Jones to take a stand and defend his fellow members of the church slandered by Fetzers proclamation regarding thier eternal salvation. This excersize will likely prove nothing. But given Jones's habit of quoting mormon scripture and comparing himself to its heroes, putting Fetzer and his proclaimed loyalty to the church in direct conflict should tell us alot about his character.

Ooo, this is a good one. If he agrees with Feltzer, he's basically saying Miller and Firmage aren't good Mormons, which I imagine won't sit well with them or BYU. If he says they -- and by extension, all other structural engineers -- are incompetent, then how does he explain why poorly-designed buildings aren't collapsing left and right all over the place? QUOTE (johndoeX)
you think we support terroists here?
QUOTE (samuelaspade)
Of course you do. People like you give the terrorists wonderful moral support. They must LOVE "Loose Change," the movie that takes bin Laden's WORD for it that he wasn't involved, and with NO evidence, attempts to deflect blame on the US government! And thousands of fools buy into it!
Ha! that's a terrorist's wet dream!
Remember the embassy bombings? Remember the Cole? Remember the WTC in 1993, when they attempted to kill tens of thousands of Americans? Remember 9/11? How many times will we have to be attacked before you admit there's problem, johndoeX? How many people do they have to kill to get your attention?
These people SWORE to kill Americans and have done it time and again. They SWEAR to continue.
But you don't think that's a problem. You'd rather there be an investigation in to your paranoid delusions. You think we should still be looking for explosives at the WTC. You think there were no hijackers.
That's supporting terrorism.

He seems to follow the same sad shtick he did here: post some incomprehensible drivel, then completely derail his own thread by complaining when people don't understand what (if anything) he's trying to say.
I suppose I should take jenabell at his word, when I asked him why he posted here: "Because I can." I suppose that's why he posts in LC, why indeed he's a CT follower: because he can. Actually, I kind of latched onto SOT's post for this very reason. He quoted something a Looser said and (again IMHO) interpreted it in a way that (to use your wording) lacked substance and that he couldn't defend well or back up with evidence.
I'm not trying to pick on SOT here, but the current "forum feud" is starting to get a bit out of hand, I think. The ninja crew here, and the LC'ers, are sniping at each other at tossing one liners back and forth. I don't think it's productive, but that's just me.
Neither side is making any progress by throwing around ad homs and trying to be mind readers. I like it better when folks stick to the evidence and leave out the other bull.

When I find something really outrageous I generally screen capture it so whoever did it can't deny it later (make sure that the URL is included in the screen cap). I once caught a guy saying something he shouldn't have, who quickly changed his post, and then had the nerve to claim that I was making up stories about him. Boom, up goes the screen cap, and (some people never learn) ten minutes later he changes his post again! Of course, I've got the screen cap for the intermediate version of the page, so now I've got him for the initial offense and the coverup!:D
BTW, I have a screen cap of Gypsy's flag post on the LC forum if anybody wants it (just text not the photos, although they were still up last evening). Unfortunately I didn't think to capture some of the posts from those objecting to that piece of "performance art".

Actually, I kind of latched onto SOT's post for this very reason. He quoted something a Looser said and (again IMHO) interpreted it in a way that (to use your wording) lacked substance and that he couldn't defend well or back up with evidence...
For what little it's worth, I actually think SOT had a point. Saying that Bush will soon be in hell could well be interpreted by some as a threat on the president's life. I certainly wouldn't be too surprised if such verbiage might draw a bit of scrutiny from the Secret Service, especially if it came from someone whom they thought capable of carrying out such a threat. To compare SOT's reasoning with that of the LC'ers is just flat out unfair.

Well, I checked the dictionary, and I guess I was using this definition: An expression of intention to inflict evil, injury, or damage.
I didn't see anything that expressed an intention of doing anything, much less and "evil, injury, or damage".
Additionally, I looked at it from this point of view: If I went to the Air Force OSI, I felt they would point out the same things regarding that statement, and I wouldn't want to embarass myself. I also looked at it from my law enforcement experience: If I went to a domestic fight, and the wife told me that her husband had told her "You'll soon be in hell" or "I'll see you in hell" or somesuch, would I have cause for an arrest? I just can't see it, sorry.
You are right. It could be intrepreted by some as a threat. I'm just not one of those people.
And I didn't want to make this about SOT and his one post. It was more about people letting their emotions get the better of them regarding what the LC'ers are saying. However, I do realize I criticized his post. If he thinks I was unfair, I'm sure he'll say so.
Bottom line is, I would hate to see the "ninja wave" become what they abhor.

Bwah! That didn't take long. But check this out. I've learned that when I see something of special interest on LC, to make a copy of it, because it may not be there for long. I just compared my copy of that "supporting terrorists" page to what's there now, and the mods certainly modified it.

I think what changes the meaning is that he said "soon". George Bush is only 60, and appears to be healthy from all the photos I see of him exercising, cutting down brush, or whatever tasks he does for fun.
I dont think he meant any harm except that Bush is evil, satanic, or possibly not a Christian like he pretends to be.
On a final note, I've heard of the FBI invesitgating more benign claims.

As I said to little Johnny when he challenged me to quiz him; "I'm not interested in testing your ability to google aviation terminology."
I've read some of his posts outside the skeptics area. He has actually written some reasonably intelligent ones. Mostly when the talk is purely about flying.
Of course, johndoeX is a pilot, really he is! Just because he writes like a 5th grader and posts on LC 24/7, well maybe he has a computer in the cockpit
I've been lurking here for awhile now with no real intent to post because you guys are doing such a great job! However, I think I can help out here.
After reading some of what johndoe has written over at LC, I'm positive he's nothing more than a flightsim geek and a poseur. Every now and then in the airliners.net forums, a new user will proclaim to be a 777 Line Captain for UA( or similar) and will generally be quite polished in his first postings, speaking the language and talking about company policies, technical details, procedures, etc..with great accuracy(usually).
But one thing thing all these poseurs do is hide their real names, as they know all airman are searchable in the FAA database.
When people(who actually work in the industry) start inquiring about things that cannot be searched on Google or simulated in FS, they start breaking down. Badly.
I think I could probably work a short questionnaire to "quiz" our friend johndoe to see if he's the genuine article. Since I dont feel like searching all 1,200 of his idiotic posts to get an idea of who exactly he claims to work for/what equipment he "flies", can anyone give me an idea of his claims in this regard?

I think it's a little simple minded to call Loosers "terrorist supporters" because they don't even believe in the existence of these terrorists. In the mind of a CT, Arabs and other Muslims are more than happy to be the world's punching bag without ever fighting back; much like the Amish.

Do you suppose that maybe Hurricane Katrina was actually an experiment in gub'mint weather control??
It was part of a secret plot to create a false flag op and blame it on Cuba, justifying an invasion. They called it... "Northcopse". The US government paid weather scientists (what are they called???) to claim the hurricane originated in a lab in Cuba, however a few brave heroic whistleblowers unravelled the government plan by announcing the hurricanes were NATURAL. Of course, CTers kmmediately recognised how ridiculous it was to claim hurricanes were natural, thus they worked out that the government created the hurricane themselves! And thus the trooth movement was born! God bless America!

Translation: Heres a bunch of jargon you wont understand so you'll think I'm a pilot.
I've been searching his posts the last hour or so to see if there's anything I can hang him on, and I found that one too. I find it funny that he wont disclose his alleged employer. It cant be because of paranoia, because it takes an act of Congress to fire a pilot(unless they show up for work under the influence), so he must know that he could be easily exposed as a fraud if he encounters anyone who actually works for his airline....
That said, I think I've been able to deduce the only possible airline he could work for. In one post he stated he knew an airline crew from his company that saw the South Tower hit from Newark Int'l. He also said he knew several crews at JFK that saw it as well. In another thread he mentioned that he had to call a friend of a different airline for 757 information. There is only one US airline that doesnt fly the 757 that serves both Newark and JFK, namely JetBlue. This will make the quiz difficult because they fly an all Airbus fleet. Unfortunatly, I know next to nothing about Airbusses. I'll keep looking to see if he mentions anything that disqualifies JetBlue...that would leave him with no airlines left to fly for based on what he's said!

Not just any commerical pilot, he's a veteran commercial pilot with 20 years and thousands of hours of experience...and yet he cant go one sentence without a "dude" "lol" "OMG" or even a "ROFL" in there somewhere.
Now I've just read thats he's never heard of pprune.org, which is only the largest professional pilot site on the internet with 100,000 members. He also thinks its suspicious that there are holes in primary radar coverage and he mistakenly referred to the secondary radar as Mode C, when its Mode S, and has been that way for like 10 years ..tsk..tsk.

I think he "drives" them by pulling them around the runway with a tractor.

In another post he was talking about how much he was drinking that day. When questioned about that, he said even pilots get a day off. But I doubt very many drink to the extent he says he was, even on an off day.
Also, he posts on a site where people claim a large jet plane hitting the ground at a 75 degree angle under full throttle would leave large sections intact, including a full tail section. Seems a real pilot would know how silly that is.

I'm sure some pilots drink like fish, but FAA rules and typcially harsher company rules make it difficult to drink with any kind of frequency. I believe the rule is 24 hours from bottle-to-cockpit, but I'm not 100% sure...

Very true, and real pilots have no problem with Hani Hanjours ability to steer a 757 into an 80 ft tall X 1000 ft wide building. Only the posers seem to have a problem with this(Nila Sagadevan most notably) for some reason.

So, both Loose Change 2nd Edition and the September 11th, 2005 extra have been removed from Google Video. Strangely, the foreign versions are all intact.
Hmmm. Any thoughts?

One English-language version is still on Google, but you have to search a bit for it. The only version in the top 100 is in Korean, and it's #10! That explains why Mike at 911myths.com said a couple of days ago that in one hour something like 400 people downloaded my LC Viewer Guide, and he gave a link to a site in Korean where most of the downloaders came from.
The version linked from loosechange911.com is called "911 Cover Up" and was uploaded May 30, in the midst of their copyright problems.

Jones talks up his mormonism, let's see if he walks as well.
Have you seen the PowerPoint presentation Jones used at the recent LA nutjob-a-thon, oops, I mean, conspiracy convention? I ran into it a few days ago by accident and foolishly didn't save a link, and now I can't hunt it down.
A good portion of the last half of that presentation links 9/11 to Mormon eschatology. I don't know enough about Mormonism to really criticize it, but I'd be very curious to hear what a fellow Mormon thought about it.
I suspect it's about as relevant to doctrinal LDS thought as his "scientific" investigations into 9/11 are to actual science.
If anyone has a link to that PPT file, I'd appreciate it.

Another example:
They LOVE the PBS Frontline special about the Cheney vs. CIA intel wars called "Darkside", but they are strangely silent about the John O'Neill piece I've linked them to numerous times.
