Ok...

I got a prog that checks all my email accounts at once and just delivers the subject and sender without opening them...Every email i receive is marked as spam, except from those i want...

So, as per usual i hit the 'delete all from server' button...

Suddenly, for the first time ever...a warning box flashed up and vanished in a second, something about sending to recycle bin...(as in it was trying to send one particular email to my recycle bin)

Maybe a new exploit...????

Who knows...???

did you recently upgrade the e-mail package, perhaps it's a new behavior? I've not seen an e-mail program that activates anything in the message on a delete. Preview/read yes, delete no.

also possible the message was flagged important or marked read-receipt and the warning was caused by those? Spammers sometime use these tricks to get their e-mail read, or to gather good e-mail addresses (although that's pretty rare on the read receipt anymore, it requires using a valid e-mail address.)

Could have been just a larger than average message or group of messages. Normally it may just go so fast that the message never kicks in but if a large message holds things up the message has time to flash.

That was my initial thought as well.

Did you look in the recycle bin? If it did send something there, it should be there unless the bin was full.
