Do you think this guy has an implant (http://www.bmezine.com/news/pubring/20040226.html) or something? He'll need to be scanned before performing the test I think.

Yes, I think he does.. I think Wired had an article on this up on their site last week.

edit: for clarification.

This person sounds very much like another applicant. IGOR AFRIKYAN - Compass Manipulator (http://206.225.95.123/forumlive/showthread.php?t=58540)

Do you think they use the same method? Worrying if they can turn a magnetic field on and off at will. You will only need a very small rare earth magnet.

... but there might actually be something 'real' there of smaller magnitude, possibly a wave height ± 0.15 mV at about 14Hz in the graph I'm sending you.

Actually, if you look at the graph, the frequency is 50 Hz which just happens to be the same as the electrical supply going into your average English household.

I don't know how he came up with 14 Hz by looking at his graphs.

The test subjects will be practitioners of Reiki , a form of energy healing with close similarities to therapeutic touch.
I sincerely hope this goes to the preliminary test or at least pre-preliminary demo that provides a conclusion. I almost fell off my chair reading his letter to the JREF. It was very well written (especially compared to some of the other applicants) with none of the usual signs of loopholes, IMHO. The expense associated with equipment part might make him back out, and finding will participants and observers may also prove difficult.
