This embarrassment premieres on the History Channel tonight(6-26-06) at 9:00pm. Who else wants to see if they can suffer through it?
I admit, the only reason I've seen any of the woo shows I have recently is for the sole purpose of my being able to come here and make fun of them with you guys. :D

It was the worst piece of crap the History Channel has ever produced.
And that's saying ALOT.
Not one psychic vision could not be verified from other media sources or taken from the books written about the subject.
In short, it was so crappy that I had to flip between that and the science channel just to even my temper out.

Are you certain you hadn't accidentally tuned to the Hysteria Channel?

I had just watched one of the Modern Marvels segments on the history of gasoline, and actually learned a few things. Then this....
Actually, this might not be a bad gig. "Here I am at the site of the Mongol invasion of Gaul! The horror...The horror...."

"There are moments for action. Then I listen to my blood. I feel this Tartar woman is for me. My blood says take her!"

History is more fun when you poke at it a little.

Some day, I knew they'd do a credulous and puffy show about how wonderfully accurate psychics are!
Does this make me one?
I wanna see the show where they run through all the predictions that never happened. And some math genius show us how 97 percent of these predictions are about the lives of Hollywood celebrities...as if they matter.

My thoughts exactly. I wonder when they will start airing Pat Robertson shows.

They'll probably show the Left Behind movie next. They can call it "pre-history". Like Minority Report, they can give us the history before it happens. Wait a minute, it's not pre-historic... would it be post-history?

I actually did watch most of it, unfortunately.
My favorite part was when Holland was brought on a "suprise" visit to the parking garage where Jack Ruby shot Lee Harvey Oswald. Holland actually said while describing the event that he saw the whole thing in black and white! He basically just revealed that all he knew about the incident was what he learned from the famous news clip, which was in black and white!
Too bad the retired cop that was with Holland, who was actually handcuffed to Oswald when he was shot, didn't ask Holland what color shirt he had on that day.

Wait, wait...I see a vision. It's a president...and not just any president, it's the Great Emancipator himself, Abe Lincoln...and omigod he's being shot! In a theatre while watching a play!! And get this: the assassin is a famous actor!!! What are the odds, huh? Surely someone owes me a million!
I'm thinking the History Channel is running this show to counter the argument that psychics are never accurate. Now they can claim to have found psychics that are highly accurate. Of course, that accuracy comes from predicting the past, which on the whole is probably considered a tad easier than predicting the future. But hey, it's something!!
Can you even imagine what sort of "intellect" would be impressed by this??

Someone in the show said that this guy went to a "school for psychics" I believe he said in the UK. Is there such a place? And what is it accreditation?

I recall see a show on A&E Biography maybe (maybe History International) that was at a UK psychic school. It stuck in my mind because it was during that show I explained cold reading to my wife. Being a sociology major, she was intrigued.

It must be this one which explains the Baby talk that the guy did throughout the program.
