Has this Abraham-Hicks (http://www.abraham-teachings.com/) nonsense been looked at before here in the forum?
If you're unfamiliar with it, a word of caution is in order: get those insulin jabs ready before reading!

Wow! He has really outdone anything I've seen in terms of telling people everything they want to hear. So the universe is here just to bring me joy?
"Anything that you can imagine is yours to be or do or have.
As you ask yourself why you want it, the essence of your desire is activated, and the Universe begins to bring it to you. The more intense your positive feelings, the faster it is coming to you. (It is as easy to create a castle as a button.) "
If this were true, I wonder why there aren't many more powerball winners every week, with none of them, somehow, having to share the pot.
And people pay to hear this?

Interesting read, but I think Richard Bach said most of that in "Illusions" in 1977. ;)

And people pay to hear this?Apparently so. What is equally baffling is that many people then proceed to hype this stuff from the realm of the somewhat amusing to that of the sublimely ridiculous - as if they need to give primarily (or even exclusively) themselves positive reinforcement. How else could one miss the blatant transparency?
If nothing else, a dispassionate look at these scribblings can serve as an object lesson in how to build a following: just lay it on as thick as you can with the saccharine vapidity.
