Obviously this will depend on the complexity of the test and protocol and necessary rehashing until both parties accept, but on the average, how long does it take (ball park).

C'mon guys.... some of you must have submitted an application or know of someone who has. What sort of time frame are we talking about?
I might want to apply myself!

It will depend upon the nature of the claim. JREF gets very few claims that go beyond the initial inquiry. If your claim appears to have merit, I'm sure you can count on the process moving very quickly.

Thanx for the input, man. I thought Randi tested everyone that had a legitimate claim. Or does he pick and choose to suit?

' Legitimate' is the key word.. He has been known to reject some claims outright, as discussed here.

You can rest assured that Randi will be as excited, as everyone else in the world, about a legitimate display of paranormal power.
However, anyone who can actually do what it takes to claim the prize, should be able to do a lot better than Randi's million. Not to say, it wouldn't be a bad place to start, with all the publicity and all.
