This list should be put on a website somewhere and spammed for all to see!

The summary will form part of the JREF $1M challenge unofficial FAQ, a first draft of which will be posted here (for feedback), soon.
**Actually, I've decided against this for the time being**

Update 16th October - the cross referencing and checking (to keep everything in context) is taking a hell of a lot longer than I'd anticipated. I've had second thoughts about posting the draft straight to the forum and will run it past the JREF first for their opinion. In addition, there's a number of points I've identified that need clarifying - I want them clearing up before I put the document into the public domain. Draft FAQ is 15 pages long so far....

Er, yeah. About that FAQ .... :o

The good news: I did actually manage to compile a first draft. The bad news: I'd promised Hal first look and sent it to him just before he left the forum :( Great timing by moi! I'll be happy to send it to trusted members for review, on the understanding that it is not distributed under any circumstances. It is, after all, not sanctioned by the JREF. I might even be motivated to finish it. In the mean time, all of the source material is available to view (see my sig). Last updated about two minutes ago, no less.

Jim.

Edited to add: For those with sigs turned off, it's here (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jimmy13/QuotesPages/QuotesIndex.html).

Superb job putting together info about the challenge!

There seems to be some odd code in place of line spaces.

Perhaps we might also put together a JREF inspired skepticism FAQ that goes over topics that come up on the boards constantly.

It's working fine as far as I can see. What's the exact error message?

Using regular internet explorer, I see this following instead of empty line breaks:

In fact this is a cut & paste of what I see for the first few lines in the first section. I hope this demonstrates what the issue is:

The JREF can call upon qualified independent advisors when help is needed.
“[…] just examine our list of advisors, and you will see that we have very substantial and eminent scientific authorities on hand to provide the advice and specialization we require.” http://www.randi.org/jr/faq.html

“To [stay within scientific boundaries when designing the protocol and implementing any tests] we call upon proper academic and scientific expertise to advise us and/or actually conduct the tests.” http://www.randi.org/jr/03-27-2000.html

Thanks for the feedback. I've removed the junk code so the pages should display ok now.
