Featured a psychic providing a distraught father with information about his missing daughter. The DI treated it with suspicion and uncovered it as a scam - wonder if that may help to get people asking a few pertinent questions before seeking help from psychics - I doubt it :(

I saw it - I was concerned at first, but the psychic thing was a total scam, and the way they handled it was brilliant.

Well done, 'The Bill'.

I look forward to it when it comes to Australia in about 8 months time. It must be about the first time they have ever mentioned psychics in The Bill.
I must admit they did have a real Santa helper who gave two police officers a wish each. This was a Xmas special.

I am bumping this thread. It was just aired in Australia. If only it happened in reality. But I guess if you are a criminal you stay away from police as much as possible.

Good to see the Bill getting back to proper police stories and away from the soapy element

I just saw this episode tonight. I admit I cringed when she announced she was a 'psychic', but the attitude of the police was unwaveringly sceptical and their handling of the investigation was unrelenting, professional, and thorough.

It was good.

Bloody hell - level-headed responsible drama from the Bill? What's next, DIY advice from the Teletubbies?

No truth in the rumour "The Bill" is to be renamed "Psi-Cops".
