I saw the trailer for this at a local cinema: http://www.us.imdb.com/title/tt0762121/

The Nativity Story (2006)
Her child would change the world.

One Couple.One Journey.One Child...who would change the world...forever.

I guess since Passion of the Christ was such a hit that they would try to cash in telling the other end of the story.

It'll be interesting to see how O'Reilly makes his "War on Christmas" arguments with a straight face when this is in wide release in December.

Will it be NC-17?

Just the religious type music that tells you something heavy is coming and then a shot of Mary riding a donkey. I kept hoping see a Monty Python character run naked across the scene so that I would know it would be possibly worth seeing, but no such luck.

Oh great, now I have this vision of a naked Terry Jones running through my head...:boggled:

Maybe if they film the conception.

Oh, wait...

Lousy trailer.

I realize the release is a ways off, but at least show some footage of the movie outside of sand blown shadowy figures.

I hope Paris Hilton plays Mary, with Samuel L Jackson as Joseph, Steve Buscemi as the innkeeper, Dom Deluise and Cheech Marin as the shepherds, Michael J Fox voicing a cow, and Little Richard as Baby Jesus.

ETA: Oh, and Christopher Walken as Gabriel, but I figured that went without saying.

ETA: And if they include the three wise men, I'm thinking Jackie Chan, Dave Chappelle, and RuPaul. Owen Wilson can play Herod.

If Paris is getting slammed in the film, I'll be there.

Samuel L Jackson - **** yeah, I'll be there!

Steve Buscemi adds the alternative. Cool.

Dom Deluise and Cheech Marin - I hope Chong is dead because that's the only excuse you have for replacing him with Dom Deluise.

Christopher Walken - A new yorker, my ***.

Jackie Chan - Conservatives would be pissed off so I don't think so.

Dave Chappelle - Being a muslim, he's a maybe.

RuPaul - Once again, the conservatives would soil themselves over the thought of a transexual appearing.

Owen Wilson - People will spend too much time looking at his nose so it ain't gonna happen.

Michael J Fox voicing a cow - If he dosen't have to hold anything, then I'm sure he's ready and willing to take the job and since he's so unthreatining, the xians will love him.

Little Richard - I don't think America's ready for a black baby Jesus.
