Has anyone caught Pastor Rod Parsley on TV? I'm an atheist, but his shows are compelling entertainment. He is rather different than others of his ilk in that he is aggressive toward his audience. Sometimes he's almost Elvis like, wiping the sweat from his brow with a handkerchief, although I haven't seen him throw the handkerchief into the audience yet and replace it with another.

Perhaps I should pray for it.

Warning, the following web page is accompanied by sound. If you are of a squeamish nature and offended by the words "Praise the Lord" blasting out, albeit for a few seconds, do not proceed.

Sorry, but I can't check out the link. I am too squeamish in nature and would be offended by hearing "Praise the Lord" blasted out every few seconds!! :D

Seriously, I am not familiar with Rod Parsley. I stay away from viewing TV preachers as they make me sick!

I watch televangelists on TBN for entertainment purpouses one in a while. I think I've seen Rod Parsley, he is entertaining and charismatic, but no more than others I've seen.

Have you watched Benny Hinn? He can put on quite a show. I used to watch him years ago. I can't watch him anymore for reasons stated in my other post.

I've seen him once or twice, and yes, he can put on a show.

Rod Parsley is a cut rate Benny Hinn who adds some more "White Gospel" into his prosperity sermons. None of this current crop though holds a candle to Bob Tilton for sheer sleeziness and obsession with money.

Well, Bob Larson... maybe.

How could you not trust a man who looks like this?

What's worse, is when he speaks. He has one of those overly dramatic ways of speaking. Very annoying.

Exactly, my "white gospel" reference above was in regard to his overemphasis on temblor as a dramatic device. Of course he also emulates Hitler magnificently with his gradual raising of creshendo until hammering home his point, shouting, "give Him praise and glory," and waiting for the believers to erupt in applause and amens.

And I am I the only one who thinks Kenneth Copeland is mildly retarded or at least his some sort of learning disability?

Nothing better (visually) than Jan Crouch.

Jesse Duplantis is the king of this way of preaching.

Oh my goodness, she is scary as Hell. I know that sounds cruel, but she is one bizarre looking woman.

Agreed did you hear about this by the way. In order to raise money for the church Hagee apparently thought it would be funny to have a slave auction in which black students at his Bible college where sold to church members to do odd jobs around their homes.

Oh yeah, televangelism. I'd forgotten why I was proud to be an American. Why is it tha the most prosperous country in the world is the only one so afflicted? I swear, we've got the worst case of religious fanatacism next to the Middle East. Must be divine retribution.
