Hi, I've been a long time lurker here on the boards and when i ran across this link here:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060818/bs_afp/irelandscienceenergy

on the very front page of Yahoo! News I thought to myself "well better fire up the JREF forums and see what the evidence really indicates" but surprised there wasnt a thread yet.

So anyone know what the real deal is here and/or which "credible physicists" have been challenged or have already look at it?

sorry for the x's in the link...the board wouldnt let me post a link without the obligatory 15 posts. i hope haven't broken a rule trying to get around the requirement

This thread (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?p=1857552#post1857552) in the "Science,..." section deals with it.

I've been a longtime lurker too, and it was the audactity of this pitch that finally got me to register on these forums... skeptical minds think alike!

[EDITED - original message moved to correct thread]

Hi and welcome to both of you. The only perpetual motion yet demonstrated is the motion of clear thinkers and truly inquiring minds toward places like JREF where facts rule.
