Should be a fun thread to watch unfold:

Oh boy, this just might be the ultimate CTist thread. They can claim anybody in the world as a closet believer, and when challenged, will inevitably retort "prove they aren't!" In their minds, they probably believe they just picked up 6 billion supporters.

Closet truthers? I nominate you, Chipmumk Stew. The most dreary dirge of a 9/11 truth song has your toes a-tappin'.

But it's so catchy! This paranoid song about our manipulative, power-hungry, mass-murdering leaders gets my toes a-tappin' and puts a smile on my face!

This is a huge, huge smoking gun. May as well come clean now, Mr Stew.:)

They call us sheep yet believe there is a 9/11 coverup because some idiot celebrities think so too.

From nesLYC on LC Forum.

Gravy

He's given more publicity to the movement than he thinks or maybe he's a truther in disguise?

So Gravy, have you gone over to the dark side?

Wow...

The suggested inclusion of Charlton Heston is crass and ignorant. The man is suffering from Alzheimers Disease, wich is why you don't hear from him anymore. God bless him and his family (and protect them from idiots).

As to the rest, you can automatically eliminate Bruce Willis along with anyone else from this list:

http://www.radioblogger.com/#001795

People who blame Hezbollah and Hamas alone for the situation in the middle east without mention of the US or Israel generally aren't truthers.

Mel Gibson, what can I say? I liked his movies. Braveheart, Lethal Weapon, The Patriot, Ransom, We Were Soldiers... what a @#$%ing disappointment he turned out to be. Coming out as a truther would only be slightly worse than his recent antics. :(

I'm sure Eric Hufschmid, Killtown, Nesnyc and Mel would get along fine. :p

Chomsky's already called down the truthers, he hates republicans and america enough to beleive it, but realizes it'd impossible to actually pull off.

The rest seem to have done as the rest of the public has and basically ignored the truthers.

How did he come up with such a list?

And Jacques Chirac?????

Pardalis

The list is obviously flawed:

Here is Noam Chomsky on the 9/11 conspiracy theories:

On the conspiracy theories about 9/11, I'll comment, but reluctantly. There are far more important things to be concerned about, and these things can become an awful waste of time.

As for the theories, I don't think they can be taken very seriously. I think they are based on a misunderstanding of the nature of evidence, and also failure to think through the issues clearly.

Why Will Smith? What has he done or said that would suggest that he distrusts the United States government?

Random celeb 9/11 CT point: I remember seeing an episode of Bill Maher's HBO political talk show where he asked his panel what they thought of the 9/11 conspiracies. Everyone on the panel, as well as Bill, were quick to come out against them.

Don't you remember that movie? With the cell phone? The government tried to kill him!

You're probably right. That's all the evidence a CT needs.
Didn't Mel Gibson make some crazy movie where he was a conspiracy nut?

Yup, Richard Clarke was an episode where Maher brought them up.

CLARKE: All these conspiracy theories have the two basic problems: one, they believe the government is competent. [laughter] [applause]

MAHER: Right.

CLARKE: And, two – two, the believe the government can keep a secret. [laughter]

Oh the poor little boys, trying to bolster their stupid little delusion by grasping at any vague straw they can get that connects their "cause" with a celeb. Just shows how completely pathetic they are. Straws and strawmen, all they know.

They are truly "stupid, stupid rat creatures". They should start discussing making people into quiche :p

In fact, I propose a theory that this is why there appear to be so many "perverted" or "evil" people in the movie industry. They take part in a movie such as V for Vendetta ( or many many others) and they get involved in the part, do a little research and come across some interesting info and are exposed to the truth. They are then basically blackmailed into silence.

Does this go for politicians and rock stars too?

Wish I'd thought of that.

For the banned, Negativ posted a list of dead people saying "these are all most likely truthers".

Any minute now they're gonna start drafting over there for their Ultimate Conspiracy Team. My money is on ChuckSheen drafting Chuck Sheen in the 1st round.

... Or maybe ChuckSheen IS Chuck Sheen....

That'd be a mind-eff.

That would crash their server and ruin all of our fun. It should be a "Who do you think isn't a government shill". Then again, that thread would probably be empty.

Can we get back to the killer bands that rock on our behalf? People in Planes are totally on our side. Check out these lyrics from "If You Talk Too Much My Head Will Explode"
You've no time to reconcile me,
There's no time left at all,
And I'll take my share, and then I'll vanish,
I want my share, that's all.

If you talk too much my head will explode (x7)
If they had only said it six times, I might not have been convinced. They know the truth!
