"Real Time with Bill Maher," an uncensored talk show on HBO, will have Penn Jillette as a guest next Friday, September 1.
The announcement of Penn's appearance at the end of the most recent "Real Time" show (which was, by the way, the season premiere) did not specify whether Penn would be a guest in studio or via video feed. The Penn & Teller web site does not specify this, either. The initial broadcast of "Real Time" is LIVE ("Are we LIVE?? YEAH!!") at 11 p.m. Eastern time, and Penn & Teller ordinarily perform at 9 p.m. Vegas time on Friday nights; however, the boys will be going "dark" from August 28 to September 5 off. Therefore, it is possible that Penn will be visiting Maher in the studio.
Let's hope so.
I am looking forward to his booming laugh during "New Rules," and I suspect Maher is as well.
I am also hoping that there will be some discussion of a skeptical topic about which Penn is comfortable opining... and I hope that the topic will be something other than religion or libertarianism.
