I wonder why it took so long for them to look in Hawk's house (http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/0831ScreamTheft31-ON.html). I must have called in an anonymus tip to the police at least once a week.

Piscivore, here's a few tips for the future:
1. Please try to at least call the Norwegian cops, not the Swedish ones.
2. Neither Norwegians nor Swedes actually talk like the Swedish Chef, so just stick with English. Some of them might understand you then.
3. It would all be moot anyway, because the painting was so well hidden, not even Roman Soldiers could find it.
In other news, I couldn't really care less that it was found. Big deal, painting's gone. In this age, making a copy that 99.99% of the public wouldn't be able to spot any difference in should be well within the possible, downgrading the needs for police resources, guards, insurance, etc. etc. all for only a painting.

Theft is theft.
Being a skeptic doesn't mean all sentimentality must die.

It's good to see them recovered here in Norway, but the police did use quite some time. And it didn't make it better when they were found one week after a bank robber named Toska said he knew where the paintings were hidden, and he would reveal where they were if the police allowed him softer treatment and more visits from his girlfriend (he is currently in prison for participating in a robbery where a policeman was shot and killed).
And I couldn't help myself smiling when an over-enthusiastic lady from the cultural department exclaimed "People should be out in the streets cheering and waving flags!"

which one?
The one of Madonna, of course. You know, the one where she had the pointy metal things over her breasts.
