Noreen Gosch is back in the news. She's found some new "evidence." How conveeeeeeeeeeeeeeenient.

Just when you thought the Satanic UFO CIA MKULTRA international pedophile conspiracy had finally been beaten to death. Maybe she has a new book she wants to flog.

Perusing the latest whacko sites on the topic, I see a new theory circulating that fake homsexual White House reporter Jeff Gannon is actually Johnny Gosch.

CNN's take (http://edition.cnn.com/2006/US/09/01/missing.boy.photos.ap/index.html) is somewhat less goofy. Perhaps they've forgotten her history.

Could someone with some expertise on rope escapes look at the picture, and tell me how tied up and gagged the boys really are? It looks, for instance, like at least two of them are very loosely gagged, and are holding the gags in their mouths by biting on them.

Color me skeptical.

So you think that this picture and the stuff about contacting/seeing her son after his abduction are fake? Tell me more; I've only read the articles and wikipedia entry on her so far, and none of them have really gone into the conspiracy angle of this story.

Well, a number of years back, she was advancing the theory that children were being sexually abused by the CIA's MKULTRA mind control program to create multiple personalities in them. They were then used as operatives to compromise world leaders, politicians, and other powerful people.

Johnny was of course a victim of this conspiracy, and when she met with him years later, he confirmed her story, but of course, could not extricate himself from his handlers to come back out into the open.

She wrote a book, titled "Why Johnny Can't Come Home," and spent some time as the darling of the pedophile conspiracy crowd.

I'm not saying the picture is fake, in the sense of being a photoshop job. But I really don't believe anyone left it on her doorstep decades later either. That's why I'm curious as to whether any rope escape experts in the audience can render an opinion on whether it looks posed.

The woman is certifiable, and if I were assigned the task of finding Johnny Gosch, I'd probably start digging in her yard.

It's nowhere near new. I saw it being flogged on Indymedia sites (especially the Portland IMC, your one-stop shop for paranoid conspiracism) back when the whole Gannon/Guckert brouhaha was still news.

One thing you've got to say for CTers: they sure do practice recycling.

Wierd, the CNN article doesn't at all mention her history. I had no idea of this woman's history until I came across this thread.

It goes without saying that it'll be interesting to see how this develops.

ETA: Apparently the mom is claiming that in the photo, he's wearing the pants that he was wearing when he was last seen. According to wikipedia, he was wearing sweats, yet the kids in the photo are all wearing jeans (from what I can tell.) I'm assuming that this is just some sort of mix-up?

But, assuming that she didn't take the kid out herself (and that the photos are legit, etc), despite all her conspiracy claims (grief does funny things), how awful to have those deposited on your doorstep.

I can't tell about the ropes, but the gags would certainly not keep anyone quiet.

I know nothing about ropework, but if I was tying up a group of kids I'd make damm sure they couldn't wriggle around far enough to undo each other's ropes. And I wouldn't take any pictures of thm either.

As kids we used to play the tie each other up thing. Lesson one. Put gloves on your victims or tie their fingers together. If unwatched, the three boys in the first photo would untie each other in minutes.
If you can draw a gag into your mouth like that , you can talk. Try it. I just did. You gag someone by putting a bulky object in his mouth. The bandage is only there to stop him spitting it out.

This looks to me like kids playing silly games. If it was the CIA, why the amateur job? Why not cuffs and dictape?

What am I saying? Why in hell would the CIA do anything of the sort?

Couple of questions come to mind...

If the pictures were received in a package, when were they scanned for placement on the website? Before or after they were given to the authorities? If before, did the person not realize they were compromising critical evidence? Was the phrase "The Brand" and the ellipse and arrow on the photo as received, or was that added after they were scanned? Again, did they not realize they were compromising critical evidence?

I dunno...if it was my child, I'd touch nothing and let the police manage the evidence.

This is bad. It's real bad. I somehow ended up reading about Reyelan Allan! My head hurts.

But here's a fun one for the CTs to play with. Remember the 6 degrees of separation?

Noreen Gosch --> some guy on Reyelan's RMN site writing an open letter to Noreen --> Reyelan marries Gunther Russbacher --> Russbacher was almost framed for killing Diana and wow, less than 6 between Noreen and Princess Diana! That has to mean something...

ahem, sorry, yes, I was bored.

Yeah, the woman's nuts.

But it's interesting timing, when you consider the Austrian case just this past week.

I can't help but think that the two are related, in that for this woman, the successful return of another child figuring so prominently in the media, must make it that much worse for her.

If you ask me, the mother's likely lost it.

However, the kid did in fact disappear. If the photo is legitimate, it certainly doesn't prove any kind of massive CIA conspiracy. It would suggest, of course, that whomever abducted this boy did abduct at least two other kids as well.

As a father of two kids I am unable to imagine what my reaction to something like this happening to one of them would be. I only know it wouldn't be very pretty.
I feel nothing but sympathy for anyone who has suffered in this way.
I don't believe the state has the right to administer the death penalty, but in a case like this if I met up with the perpetrator I would administer it myself.

Why are people so eager to believe their own government would be doing something like this? I know politicians aren't the most trustworthy of people; telling lies to win votes is one thing but torturing kids to turn them into Journalists is just too sick for words.
