This isn't the usual skeptical event,* but for everyone's information, the ACLU's annual membership conference will be held in Washington, D.C. from Sunday, October 15, thought Tuesday, October 17. Information on events and speakers can be found here (http://action.aclu.org/conference/agenda.html)-- the highlight (from my perspective, anyway) will be a constitutional law debate between Nadine Strossen and Justice Scalia. The early registration rate of $295 is available through September 6; I'm not sure how much it will be after that.

Let me know in this thread or via PM if you're going to be there, as I'm planning to attend.

*I nevertheless think that it is an appropriate event for posting here, because Nadine Strossen spoke at TAM last year, and because the speakers include the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School Board (the intelligent design case) plaintiffs.
