With the new digital broadcast standards that are being brought into effect here in the US it's possible for a station to have multiple channels of programming.
For example, I live near Memphis TN and the PBS channel is broadcasting 10.1 and 10.2 or the CBS affiliate has 3.1 which is a digital rebroadcast of the standard analog feed and 3.2 which is their version of a 24 hour news channel.
Then we get to channel 40 which is the local TBN affiliate who is broadcasting no less than 4 seperate digital feeds. Is this really needed? I mean I know I can only handle so much guilt, condemnation and begging at one time.
The PAX affiliate is channel 50 who has 5 digital feeds, but for their part the programming isn't 100% religion based.
