Don't know if this works like this or not, but I've put some 9/11 conspiracy terms in my sig that link to the Conspiracy section of JREF. I'm hoping this will direct web searches for those terms to here instead of to CT sites. Is this a how google bombs work, or am I completely wrong?

If you refer to the Google-Ranking-System
by saying "Google-Bombs":

It´s a much more complicated but this also
works in a small, certain degree. It has to do
with "how many (different) sites out there are
pointing to your site (the forum)".

However: I guess you will not have much
success, because the phrase "loose change"
has 4,060,000 hits on google and only god
knows how many are pointing to their
homepage.

This seems impossible to beat/challange.

A better way would be uploading the debunkin-
videos several times to google with a link to this
forum. But maybe Google does not allow to host
a video several times. (plus it would be cheating)

BTW: Congratulations to message Nr.6000!
What the hell are you doing all day long?
(Just kidding) :D

I didn't even notice that! But it has taken me 3 1/2 years to get that high.

Yes, but it requires a lot of sites linking here with Loose Change as part of the linked term. This is how we got Screw Loose Change to pop up so high in the Google rankings. I submitted our blog to an alliance of bloggers, 261 of whom link to us with "Screw Loose Change".

So it requires a lot of different sites to link it, as opposed to many on one site. Oh well, thought I'd ask.

Depends on the site.

Speaking of Google Bombs, has anyone googled the word "failure"?

Thanks for pointing that out.

Depends on the site.

Both ways. Unfortunately even the conspiracy theory main page gets a Google Page Rank of 0 (out of 10). SLC is a 5, Google's a 10, CBS is an 8 (and yes, that is ridiculous, but Google loves blogs). I'll put some links on my blogs to see if I can get that up to a 4 or so; I should be able to do that without a Google Bomb, but it takes awhile for it to show.
