Doh. Sorry thought that link was only workable when it was actually on. Will definitely take a listen in a bit then.

very interesting. I like how the second caller is so incredibly certain.
Part of the problem is summed up by the host's comment (paraphrasing here) that it is similar to what Sherlock Holmes said--"when you have eliminated the other possibilities, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth". Trouble is, this dictum does not work unless you really are able to eliminate all the other possibilities. Otherwise (and this is the case with the caller's example), it is more like "we have insufficient evidence to prove absolutely that it is the 4th of July...therefore it must be Christmas!" Phrased that way, the false dichotomy is much more evident.

Meigs sounded a little stressed towards the end, due to (most likely) the shortness of time and the previous caller putting in plugs for web sites rather than asking a question. Unfortunately, this will probably be attacked by the troofers as stress due to falsehood or being forced to give the official line.
I read the book over the last few days, and what he said in the NPR piece and in the book is something that many of the novices in the troof movement don't think about. The "official story" isn't just the government's story. Of course the more advanced troofers would say they're all in on it.

Thank you. I'm adding this to my collection of 9/11 audio for burning to CD.
