The spin is starting, I do believe. Even JK alluded to it ... something to the effect that He reported/acted on the best intel. Ie. He was sincere but misled.

So this is the best we got intel-wise? Billions spent and the President of the USA stands there with his weiner hanging out? Not bloody likely. He lied and now we can all watch various intel guys get sacrificed.

Amazing that GW's supporters can spin like any common liberal.

Yes, I am find myself to be amazed and disgusted at how many people are starting to blame the whole thing on 'bad intelligence'.

Does anyone else remember that not so little event know as the 'Cold War'. Hundreds of billions were spent over the years to monitor the USSR and it allies, then when it all fell apart, they were totally amazed.

Now, we are seeing the same sort of thing with Iraq.

The only thing the US and all countries which were involved in the invasion could do now is release the country and compensate with money. Pretend nothing ever happened.

When this comes up, it is akin to a neurosurgeon sincerely but misled operating one's brain by opening a knee:

Bush is in charge with being competent at what he is doing.

Instead, he tampered with data for his war cause.

I just find it moronic to assume that because no stockpiles have been found yet that none will be. I think the media feeding frenzy going on right now is self-perpetuating.

I find it moronic to justify this war, since Bush's 'imminent' danger' of WMDs in Iraq.

It's possible that it was "bad intel," but there are also many things to consider. Some people think the Bush asked for only the "good" intel, while discarding the "bad" one.

But I think the issue is somewhat irrevelant. Because if no WMD are found, the public will lynch Blair and Bush no matter what.

Well, if you read the thread I started on the article in Time on all this, the intelligence community was railroaded and subverted all along. To now blame them is the height of hypocrisy.

Could it get any worse. Well, Dubya could get a blow job I suppose.

Gem,

like I wrote, above anyone in U.S., Bush is in charge of being competent at what he is doing.

Similar to a neurosurgeon, he cannot address brain by opening a knee.
