Aside from having Budvar, the world's best beer, Czech has the most amazing rum in the world, called Bozkov. I can't seem to find it anywhere outside of Czech. I believe Austria had a rum that tasted similar, but I can't recall the name offhand.

Anyway, if anyone would be able to help me out on this, I would be most appreciative, and can pay any costs associated. Or if you know of a rum that tastes similar, I would love to hear about it.

Yum Rum!

(I think that tuzemsky is Czech for "Yummy in My Tummy!")

I am quite sure that tuzemski means "domestic" as opposed to foreign.
Could you describe what it tasted like? It could well be like the rum we have in Croatia, and we mostly using for cooking (for cakes etc) or in tea. The rum I have in mind is dark brown in colour, very fragrant.

Ooh, that sounds kind of like it.

It smelled like eggnog. Cloves, cinnamon...it would taste wonderful in cake, I think.

I didn't know they had sugarcane in Czech. (he says snobbishly)

The only real rum is http://www.mountgay.com/

Everything else is just an imitation.

How's what you're talking about compare with the spiced rums we can get here, Jas? I may have to go on a rum-quest.

Hmmmm. I kinda like Westerhall Which you can't find here in the US (It's Grenedian). Then there's always Jack Iron rum. Probably the less said about that the better.

Maybe...

I am trying to get enough money to go to TAMV

But since I do not drink myself I do not know if I want to support such habits. ;)

You!

You must come to TAM! I'll pay you whatever the equivalent local price is for that quantity of hard liquor.

Apply for a scholarship! Now!

And I can practice my Czech! Dobre dien! Pivo for everyone!

Pivo is such a good word.

You

I have applied for a scholarship it is only that it is a bit expensive to travel to Las Vegas from Prague, and then there is hotel rooms, food, shows, strippers…;)

I will try to get to TAM and I am sure that the local price of that liquor is dirt cheep as everything else here. You sure you do not want any Absinth?

But when it comes to practicing your Czech I think you have the wrong guy. I can help you with your Swedish though. God dag! Öl for everyone!

Whoops!

By local I meant local Vegas price, not local Czech price (tempting as that would be.) I can get Absinth up here in Canada, finally, though I do recall smuggling some over before it was available.

But if you can make it over, that would be kick ass!
