In combating 9/11 ignorance, I believe we've all seen this:

http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/IMAGES/SMALL_wtc-7_1_.gif

OOOOOH!!! LOOK AT THE UNDAMUJED SIDE!!! SPEED OF GRAVITY!!! SKWIBS!!!! DAAAAAH!!!@#

Anywho, I was wondering if someone here could make the following into a gif:

http://www.911myths.com/wtc7moresmoke.avi

I get cramps in my hands from typing out the fact that the first image was taken from the south side of the building to the same people, over and over and over. I'd like just to insert a gif of the moresmoke video as a reply and leave it at that.

Any takers?

What's a gif?
Does that help?

A .gif is an animated picture (like the WTC7 picture above) that can be inserted into a post. I can't insert the .avi moresmoke picture into a post - it requires the user to click the link and watch it in a new window, or download it.

Note, I've never used this before, so if it sucks, don't blame me. :duck:

When I get home after work I'll see what I can do. I don't have the tools here, I can't get at your video here, and (last but not least) I'm supposed to be working here.

Thanks.

I downloaded three avi-gif converters, but neither worked. Windows kept giving me DivX errors that I couldn't manually correct.

Here ya go (I can't post links properly yet):-

Original Size (320 x 240 & 4.55mb) h ttp://w ww.tbcfh.co.uk/nick/wtc7-original.gif

Half Size (160 x 120 & 1.33mb) h ttp://w ww.tbcfh.co.uk/nick/wtc7-halfsize.gif

Optimized as best I can, but still pretty large file sizes :S

May I utilize your bandwidth by posting it in other threads, or should it be located elsewhere first?

:)

I've done an even smaller one with a substantially smaller filesize (566k).

Just use which ever you think is best.

Feel free to leech mine, or repost, share copy or whatever. I got tons on my site, so it's absolutely no problem.

I don't have much experience doing this, but I was able to create a 160x120 and a 320x240 animated gif of this. They're both pretty big (1M and 3.5M respectively). I've linked them here:

Big (http://scott.ashcraft.com/wtc7moresmoke_big.gif)
Small (http://scott.ashcraft.com/wtc7moresmoke.gif)

Thanks anyway - I think Nick's are a bit clearer.

But you get a blue star. Which is nice too.

Definitely so. But it was fun figuring out how to do it!

Now that I'm home, I see I've been beat to the punch.

Oh, well.
