To help out some friends in a quiz: What are the next two numbers in this number sequence: 1, 4, 6, 15, 17, 19? They are not worried about winning the prize (£25!) but would just like to get the answer before it is given out.

My granddaughters and I spent some time on it today, but could not come up with any logical answer. We decided that there must be a misprint or something!

Many thanks. We thought it would be one of those things when, as soon as you know the answer, you think, oh why didn't I think of that?!! However, in this case I don't think we would ever have come up with it because we don't play darts! And I really must remind myself that I should look things up on the internet - I must pin a large notice to the wall to remind me to think about that.

Thank you also to calebprime.

Of course this then asks for the question why are they in that order? Was there some logical reason or did someone just make it up?

I always figured they were in that order to scamble up the high numbers from the low. I doubt if the first folks to play were as accurate as todays tourny winners, so you didn't want a near miss to give almost the same points. I suspect that 301 didn't come along until a bunch of players got good enough to hit the triple 20 on purpose.
