As Gunboots ascertained there were writers in this forum, I really like to know how people write. Do you compose on the computer? What time of day do you write -- as soon as you wake up, as Gore Vidal does? James Joyce wrote at night after socializing. I understand that Anne Rice doesn't wake up before noon. I think she writes through the night. Do you write everyday? Or after work? Chekov wrote so much. I love his plays about the dreariness of the fallen aristocracy in Russia. Yet Chekov was a full-time medical doctor. What method gets you going?

I write fitfully I admit. Most of it is done in collaboration with a friend in America too so it depends when they are about - usually their early morning/my early evening
