I'm hoping to start up a club for year 10 and 11 students (14-16 year old) at my school which would involve more interesting experiments than those conventionally done at school. The difficulty is that I need some experiments or demonstrations to do with these kids.
My current list, which has gained some interest, is:
Organ dissection (Heart, lungs, eyes, possibly others)
Nitrogen Tri-Iodide (Contact explosive-this one is doubtful due to danger)
Bed of nails
Time fountain (UV strobe with fluorescent water droplets)
Homeopathy
Dowsing/Ouija boards
Horoscopes
Cold Reading
Spoon Bending
and that's about it.
I need more, preferably impressive to watch/fun to do, but safe enough for a school lab. Any suggestions?
