i dont care if they're lesbians. I know fat hairy lesbians too and Tatu isnt anymore attractive to me.

Tatu's whole shtick is publicly "we dont think men are good at sex and we're sexy but we don't want men even while they drool over us because we're lesbians they can't have us" . That is what Im responding to.

Did any of you catch their performance on the MTV Movie Awards? I was appalled. It was such "lezzie trendy" affair I couldn't take my eyes off. It was like a train wreck.

Also caught their new video, it's cool because they're on an old Soviet tanker truck driving through the snow in Siberia. Very cool visuals. Their appearing in the video and their "love you forever" looks of longing at each other distracted from the neat scenery however.

TATU is engineered to appeal to teen boys and girls who think that kissing another girl is somehow "dangerous and exciting."

Personally, I much prefer TATU to the inherent violence and misogyny in rap music, although I think mostly everything on the radio and MTV is complete crap.

The only "art" involved is the graphic art in their video-clips. That's pretty nifty. As for their songs and antics...well... Been there, done that, in the seventies (at least) for the faux-lez stuff, and the music is easily digestible pop-idol manufactured pap.

I find the 'it's all to attract the 14 year old boys' line a bit of BS.

In all the live footage I've seen of them, it's young girls that are there yelling and screaming, jumping up and down and singing along.

It's the same with Britneay Spears, her concerts are packed with girls, adoring girls at that.

Of course the sexiness attracts boys (and men :D) but they aren't the ones buying the albums, nor going to the concerts.
