I'm trying to remember this one guy's name. He acted stupid (I think I remember a key word being 'fool') so that others would underestimate him. I can't remember anything other than that.
Can anyone help?

No-one's provided the obvious shmartass reply yet, so I gotta jump in. Like a junkie for the needle I've been twitching watching this thread get no response.
A Greek character, hmm? El Greco?
Ahh, the weight is gone!

Can't remember precisely, this was soo long ago...
With a stretch of the imagination, could be Diogenes of Sinope (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diogenes_of_Sinope) or some other Cynic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynic).

Are we talking about a fictitious, mythological or real character here?
