View Full Version : 9/11 Truth Movement based on a Hoax?

Since first becoming acquainted with LC and LC2 I've had the faintest suspicion that Avery & Co are the perpetrators of the hoax of the century.

This suspicion grows in strength with each day that passes.

I foresee a major studio backing a multi-million dollar movie of the whole sordid affair.

And I see a shed-load of people with egg on their faces.

The fact that I saw a "troother" interviewed on the Fox news channel yesterday led me to voice my suspicion.

What do you think?

My Opinion -

Dylan Avery wanted to be a director real bad, but couldn't get accepted into film school because of his lousy grades, so he decides to make a film on his own on a laptop computer. This film was supposed to be fictional but since he never did any real research, all the 'coincidences' and 'facts' led him to believe there was a real conspiracy.
Many of the arguments he made have been debunked, yet even in his second edition he touts them as fact, probably because he is so steeped in success and self delusion that his ego has grown to the point where he honestly can't admit he's wrong.

I sometimes doubt if he believes all of his own theories, or any other 9/11 theories for that matter, but after millions of downloads, making piles of money, and becoming the underground-media darling of millions of impressionable youth, he probably can't bring himself to change his views.

I doubt that Avery & Co. are making THAT much money. And, I also doubt that the whirlwind they're reaping is worth it. But, I don't doubt that they ARE cynical enough to make money off a national tragedy.

Maybe. But the History Channel showed LC2 here recently, so someone's paying.

The publicly-funded free-to-air channel SBS here in Australia turned it down before THC bought it. I thought SBS were very astute in that decision.

As for cynicism -- I believe this is the Age of Cynicism :)

Nearly every one of us here who has been banned from the LC forums has also gotten at least one death threat from one or more twoofers. Marky and Gravy are practically swimming in them.

If the three stooges came out tomorrow morning and say "We weren't just asking questions, we were just kidding!", someone will take a shot at them.

Dylan is like the guy who made the football team by fluke, knows he can't play for shaite, but has got himself a pile of fans and a cheerleader GF, and would rather continue the lie than lose the perks.

The fact that "theories" that obviously didn't hold up to scruteny got cut in the second version is quite telling; the theory can easily be rewritten and moulded anew when questioned.

I noted that they were awfully slow over at the LC forum to discuss the recent Bush debacle regarding questioning of suspects and so on. Pesky politics and basic recent history knowledge can never be as important as debating endlessly over the "Pull it" remark, kids!

The part that gets me is that one of the origin stories for Loose Change is that Avery and Crew are making a movie about 9/11 being a conspiracy and they find out it really is a conspiracy and in real life, while making a movie about 9/11 being a conpiracy they find out it really is a conspiracy.

My first thought was: I saw that movie. Where Mel Gibson creates conspiracy theories and turns out he did uncover a conspiracy.

At this point, I realized the truth. Most 9/11 conspiracies blame the Jews, but the 9/11 truth movement is based off of a movie made by Christianity enthusist, Mel Gibson. The true architect of 9/11 is Mel Gibson and the Catholic church to create feelings of hatred and distrust towards the Jewish community by framing them for staging an attack by holographic airplanes projected onto cruise missiles to cover up the nuclear bombs that were set off under the World Trade Center.

It is all plain as day if you would stop believing the offcial lie and do some research.

Not true in my case. I've never had a death threat. The closest might be JohnDoeX saying – in his capacity as LC moderator – that I deserve a traitor's death. The vast majority of my mail is positive. I think that demonstrates the difference between the demographic that takes the time to read and the one that primarily watches videos. It's good that we're reaching both audiences. Unfortunately, MarkyX gets the brunt of the immature responses.

WHAT?

At least in Australia (New Zealand might get the same version of the channel).

Channel 10 (our third highest rating commercial free to air channel which targets much the same demographic as Fox) showed 'In Plane Sight'.

Mind you, this was the weekend of September 11.

SBS went down a more sensible path and aired "The Secret History of 9/11"

Not me. I didn't even get an explanation for why I was banned.

Well that has to be the title of the next Abby video: "Bend it Like Bermas"*
