Ugh--what a fluff piece for "psychic" crap. It's the usual "write it up, and give the skeptic a couple of soundbites to make it 'balanced'" crapola. They even give Schwartz more space than Randi.

This has happened so often Randi's mastered the art of the soundbite:


"Do you believe in Santa Claus, and if not, why not?" asks Randi. "Millions of people all over the world believe in Santa Claus, most of them children. But why don't you believe?" he presses.

"The reason is," he argues, "while the evidence is copious, it's all very bad. Bad evidence doesn't hold water. A small amount of good evidence will prove the case."


Wonderfully said.

"I'm familiar with the work at the University of Arizona. What's the technical term for it? B-------? Yes, that's it."


While funny and accurate, I'm not 100% sure that's a good way to make the point in a newspaper article. ;)

And the dog? (Baldwin channels animals as well as humans.) The sound of clapping, notes the dog spirit, "is disrupting to all vibrations in my body ... it takes me into a very uncomfortable place ..."

That has to be the most laughable thing I've ever read. The question was a no-brainer anyway.
