I know you'll all let me know if this has been posted here before, but I couldn't find it searching the forums, so I'm going to put it up.
This video (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/October2006/111006Truth.htm), apparently from a Dutch TV station, shows two politicians - including one of Tony Blair's MPs - pretty much coming out and stating that the official story has bigger holes than the WTC and linking PNAC to the plot.
While I have little or no interest in the CT section, stuff like this concerns me as these are the type of people who are likely to be believed by the hoi polloi.
Nothing new in it as far as I can see, but every time this bollocks is repeated, more people start to believe it. I found this posted on a Kiwi hip-hop site one of my 15 year olds belongs to! When the CT has got to hitting hip-hop sites in New Zealand it's getting more than widespread, it's become a pandemic.
Any comments, or just more of the same for you guys?

its b.s. Being an MP in reality does not mean anything. Any nut can can be a politician, you just need to get elected. One of them was listed as a socialist, where America, the center of capitalism, is the enemy.

All these politicians "coming out" will only hurt their credibility.

Well that puts a nail in the conspiracy theory if Meacher believes in it!

Swedish public service tv (the only two channels that carry respectable news and documentaries plus debate shows) recently had an edition of their "investigative" show "Agenda", which combines short documentaries (covering current events) and debates, do a couple of minutes on LC.
Gleaming with joy and journalistic idealism, they called LC "grass root journalists" and didn't once ask a question about the quality of their work. Incredible, really. One of my dearest friend is a reporter for the news on that channel, and he's more or less furious about it.
It's completely irresponsible to present the LC folks that way, in my opinion. especially for journalists who pride themselves of being investigative, fairly objective, and always seeking the tr....
hey! I think I'm on to something here...

Interesting. That little webpage says the videos are proof that the Bush administration carried out the attacks, but the British guy is proposing at best a 'let-it-happen-on-purpose' theory. His only evidence is the guy in Pakistan who supposedly sent money to the terrorists but this was only discovered after the attacks occured.

meacher (http://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/michael_meacher/oldham_west_and_royton) is also a noted socialist. and a member of the fabian society (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabian_Society)
BTW his claim doesn't seem to be that the US gov, or at least elements of it, engineered the WTC attacks but that that government ignored clear warnings of it.

This video has been discussed, and thoroughly debunked, here. I think it's a couple of years old. Meacher is the guy who had apparently agreed to host a screening of Loose Change, but backed out, perhaps after he watched it.

exactly my point. but you were quicker on the draw :-}
i've yet to see any conclusive evidence that any governmental department had "clear warnings" of WTC attacks, only the repetition of vague phrases like "possiblities of hijackings" "indications" etc etc blah de blah from people who have a (usually political) axe to grind one way or another.

as soon as he cites the PNAC document his credibility goes out the window
he obviously hasn't read it, or has only read parts of it.
he even paraphrases it COMPLETELY INCORRECTLY

Gravy did you mean 'here' as in 'on this board' or did you mean to link to another site?

I looked at the original YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1i2gGb6aajw) to see if I could find out which programme it is from. It mentions that it comes from TweeVandaag of 9 september 2005. Here (http://www.tweevandaag.nl/index.php?module=PX_Story&func=view&cid=2&date=20050914#) is the relevant page of the programme, now renamed EenVandaag. They apperently have made an English version as well, which is probably where the YouTube video is from. I can't play it from the programme's site though, maybe other people have more luck.
I have watched the YouTube video, and I can't find any statement by either of the gentlemen that "the Bush administration planned and carried out the attacks" which PrisonPlanet and the person who placed the video on YouTube claim they are saying. Instead Michael Meacher and Andreas von Bulow seem to claim that the Bush Administration could have known about the attacks beforehand and may have allowed it to happen because it was in their interest. That's a far less proposterous claim, even if there isn't a lot of evidence for it. The video does not deny that Arabic hijackers connected to Osama Bin Laden were behind the attacks.
Also interesting: Michael Meacher's statement "I am always against conspiracy theories, but the truth is that conspiracies do sometimes occur." was edited down to "the truth is that conspiracies do sometimes occur."

The trouble is, Meacher isn't "always against conspiracy theories", he was known for a long time as the most paranoid Minister in Whitehall.

Dude, socialism in Europe does not generally perceive America or capitalism as the enemy. You're confusing it with communism.

That's not true. I'm crazier 'n anyone and when I ran for Member of Legislative Assembly here in Alberta, I only got 435 votes where the winner on my riding picked up over 6,000. :p

Bet you bolt in!
