Does Saddam Hussein exist? How about Osama bin Laden? Or Eric Rudolph?
Saddam and Osama must not exist. Why? Because they cannot be found. And, as we all know from witnessing the recent hyperventilation about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, if something can't be found, it must not exist.
.............
In 1998, Senator Robert Byrd argued strongly for military action against Iraq, saying, "the administration needs to act sooner rather than later." Apparently, Byrd's sense of urgency was much more acute when a fellow Democrat occupied the White House; even though President Bush cited the same reasons as Clinton, Byrd accuses the Republican of lying.

I still find it funny that when the UN inspectors asked for more time they were consisently told by the US that they have had plenty of time and for the sake of world safety Iraq must be invaded immediately.
Now we keep hearing from the US how "they need more time" to find the WMD.
Interesting how that works.

I don't believe that is the point of the article. We're talking about weapons of mass destruction here, are we not?
That's the reason I "forgot" the "little part about the dictatorship." Because that's not the issue?

actually you started talking about Saddam Hussein's Iraq as comparted to Iraq now. Weapons of mass destruction aren't as serious of a threat now as they were then.

I'm quite skeptical that the weapons were much of a threat then either. The US seemed to be the only country in the world particularly worried about them.
Truth be told, I'm certainly not upset Saddam is gone. Who would be.
Who is the photo in your avatar? It looks familiar.
