Can BS101 come and play as well? He never did apologize for accusing me of strawman, so this may be a nice place for just that. And then he could also apologize for calling the skeptics 'like Holocaust deniers'.

Personnally, I don't think "strawman" is an insult. The scarecrow was always one of my favourite characters in the Wizard of Oz.

The "Gravy" was off the top of my head. I wanted a short screen name that was easy for people to type, and that was the first word that came up. I have no idea why. I don't have a special thing for gravy.
This explanation is even more boring than the explanations of the origin of the name "Loose Change."

THX-1138 is the CT-er of the month. Evidently they have a Baskin Robbins and you pick a nutbar and send him over.
His first visible activity was here....http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=66020
Seems to come from a "free-form" blogsite or forum. Doesn't even care about or pretend to care about evidence. Just can spout his opinions and thinks that's sufficient.
So far about a 9 on the jackass quotient, but nothing substantial. Read for yourself. CTer on a mission, I'd say.

Well, I learned one thing from this thread, anyway. I never noticed it said 'Woo'. I just thought it was some weird (wooish) beasts in your sights. :o Oh, dear, I feel so unobservant.
When I first saw you posting here, I thought of the Raymond Carver poem, 'Gravy'. But after getting to 'know' you, I didn't think you were referring to it. It's excellent, anyway, and while the crickets are chirping, here's a poetic interlude...
Gravy
By Raymond Carver
No other word will do. For that's what it was. Gravy.
Gravy, these past ten years.
Alive, sober, working, loving and
being loved by a good woman. Eleven years
ago he was told he had six months to live
at the rate he was going. And he was going
nowhere but down. So he changed his ways
somehow. He quit drinking! And the rest?
After that it was all gravy, every minute
of it, up to and including when he was told about,
well, some things that were breaking down and
building up inside his head. "Don't weep for me,"
he said to his friends. "I'm a lucky man.
I've had ten years longer than I or anyone
expected. Pure gravy. And don't forget it."

Holy crap! It does say woo!
I never noticed either! It's like some kind of subliminal message!
I've just noticed that I have ended every sentence with an exclaimation! I guess there is no reason to stop now!
Hmmm!
It was damp and chilly afternoon, so I decided to put on my sweatshirt!
I pulled the lever on the machine, but the Clark bar didn't come out!
Ok, I'm done!

Thanks for the poem, Orphia. No, I hadn't seen it before. One thing is accurate: I don't drink like I used to. Then again, I don't have fun like I used to, either. Perhaps that will change if I take up drinking gravy instead of alcohol.
