Well, the instense UV had irradiated most of downtown...luckily, I'm in an interior office with no windows so survived the initial burst. THere's no radio or TV stations broadcasting, and apparently the elevators are stuck. I'm jammed the doors to barricade myself in just in case. I haven't gone near the outside windows yet...I could get a good view but all the exterior offices smell like roasted pork, so I'm a bit leary of exposure. Luckily the electricity is still on.

I have a half a pack of hot dogs in my office fridge, and a jug of water and my coffee maker. I figure the food I can ration out for a few days, but the coffee will be out in three hours. I don't expect to last much beyond that. If I can shield myself, there's a 39 ounce can of coffee across the hall...that might buy me a day or two.
