A lot of self-appointed conspiracy theorists have posted 'What about this'', and 'Prove this isn't so', etc. Each and every time the ridiculous theories put forth here are purposefully and wholly debunked. (Though some old CT's still linger here, holding on to their precious, false beliefs like a 7 year old child clinging to their woobie.)
It really does make for some entertaining reading! I've spent WAY too much time here when I should have been doing something else It's just that addicting for me.
Thanks, all of you entertaining, knowledgeable skeptics, for your hard work in making this a great forum to lurk upon.

I'm with you. I spend a lot of time here just reading CTs getting destroyed by logic. Sometimes I'll just slap my forehead and say to myself "S/he can NOT be serious"... but they always are. At least this forum doesn't delete the arguments that don't support a position. It's nice to have an archive of these arguments.

Sorry! A woobie is a blanket. Probably spelled it incorrectly too! (Probably a cultural thing??)

No cultural thing. Here (germany) it´s called "Kuscheldecke" - my translator strikes from time to time. :)

I hereby propose that "woobie" become the official JREF term for a new member (newbie) who starts making posts about "woo".

I think this whole forum is a conspiracy: Its crazy CT posters are really skeptics in character as woos. Their dastardly goal being that of providing entertainment for their friends.

You know, every now and then, I'm tempted to do this. Try and come up with a persona that is so out there it'll show them how they look to other people.
And then I realize, there's simply no way I could ever get that far out. "Hushaboom nukes"! I'd've never come up with that!

Damn. I thought that was a "pacifier". Time to update my mental Québoise -- Ontarian dictionary.

US frequently called a "lovie" or "lovey" (most common term I've heard over the last few years anyway).

I though a "woobie" was a "waterbottle". I know at least one person who uses that term for that purpose.
And unlike conspiracy theories, at least waterbottles and blankets are useful.

A woobie, or whatever you may like to call it. A warm, comfortable, often smelly and dirty object of extreme affection. I think it applies just right to CT'ers...

Nah, he doesn't have underpants on his head, and pencils up his nose.

Not as far as we know, anyway.
