...I've been known to lurk so long at forums that I dont really think about what impression I make when I make my first post, just poppin out of nowhere asking questions. So I thought I'd just throw down a few lines to say hello. Im a 35 year old man who makes a living as a reporter and I've always been interested in conspiracy-thinking, and how conspiracy-thinkers tick (not actually sure why though). Im mostly active on the swedish board Flashback.info - but this has become one of my main sources of good debunking and since I more than once have used links or points made here, I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your hard work.

Cheers,
SLOB

And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate..

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game

I stuck around at St. Petersburg
When I saw it was a-time for a change
Killed the czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank ...

Pleased to meet you,
D.T.

Dog gone'et we're listening to it now, forgot....

I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made

I shouted out,
"Who killed the Kennedys?"
When after all
It was you and me

Well of course! I was trying to figure out what Mojo meant by woo woo, probably because I always heard the background vocals as hoo hoo.

SLOB, welcome to the JREF Forum on Conspiracy Theories. All opinions here are tolerated, regardless of what side of the issues they fall on.

Is SLOB an abbreviation or acronym, or is it simply "Slob"?

No, Gladys Knight and the Pips used up the "whoo whoo"s in "Midnight Train to Georgia".

The Stones had to settle for "woo woo"s.

I see you Gimme Shelter and raise you the live version of Midnight Rambler.

However, the greatest Rock N' Roll song of all time is Honky Tonk Woman. I don't care that VH-1's poll of 100 best ended up with Satisfaction as the best ever, Honky Tonk Woman is the best.
*eyes get wide and foam flecks from lips*

The BEST, I tell you!!!!!!!! :eye-poppi

I really like the version (Honky Tonk Woman) by those Balkan women who wave their handkerchiefs.

I can smell that cabbage soup now... Ahhhh...

Tnx, and SLOB is an acronym sort of, hence the capitals. It stands for Sad Lazy Old Bastard - I'm a devote gamer and at the age of 35 I tend to always end up at the "Well, I remember how we did it back in the 80's" visavi the 16 year olds playing now-a-days. I never have the time to put in the 60 hrs of gaming a day needed to keep the edge, and the youngsters like to mock me about it (and about the fact that I've been known to cry out during a Battlefield 2 game "Im sorry, I cant cover you sniping right now, my daugher has just lost her pacifier" which really makes me a desktop warrior). Therefore Sad and Lazy - Old since people below the age of 30 seems to univocally think 35 is very, very close to te grave. And Slob, well, I am a slob.

And Im also a devote skeptic in the real sense (not the "I just want to ask questions"-kind of way)

Cheers,
SLOB
