Also vote on the thread: "What day is everyone leaving vegas?" (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=66821)

I'm undecided as of yet. But definitely at least Wednesday to Sunday/Monday.

Tuesday is the ideal time to arrive (flights permitting). On Monday, nobody's arrived yet, apart from a few die-hards (like Patricio ;)), and on Wednesday, it's volunteer-day, and you want to be there from the start (i.e. at about 9 - 10 AM). So better to come in on Tuesday, to find a sizable group of JREF-people already there collecting in the lobby or something like that, or setting up the folder assembly workline.
Plus, you'll already know where you have to be to do folder assembly stuff, and you get to have two nights to socialize with other board members before TAM starts.

Then again, if you've never been to Vegas, come a day earlier and go out to see Vegas on your own before the big crowd arrives, because when they do, you'll wanna hang with them.
And/or stay a day longer too, because then you can go back to the spots you missed.

speeder come early and help stuff packets. I know it sounds boring, but being a volunteer is the best way to meet people. It's fun and Randi and Linda and the rest of the JREF crew is so nice and thankful for the help.

I remember volunteering for TAM2 and RAndi came in the room and started doing magic tricks! He even made my glasses disappear (and his replaced them). Linda had the worst time getting rid of him so some work could get done!

I have a lot of fun in Vegas, but the best part is helping out. Last TAM I had killer death pneumonia and I was so sad to miss out on helping. HOwever, my wonderful brother took over and Kitten also helped out. Still, this year, I'm doing the whole vitamin C don't touch anyone and use hand sanitizer non stop routine!! Because hanging out and helping is really a great way to give back to JREF and you get to hang with the greatest group ever!

Even if you can't help out a day early, consider helping out during TAM. Everything is in the same room as the speakers, so you don't miss anything.

Skeptic Scott may be running the volunteers again?

I already volunteered for wednesday.
I helped out with TAA as well.

I started the polls to get a good idea of when people are arriving and leaving so we can all figure out when it's most worth it to arrive/leave.

If a decent number of ppl, or people of a decent number, arrive on tuesday, I'll probably arrive on tuesday as well. Same thing with leaving.

I'm pretty flexible when it comes to my schedule.

Anyone going who's a Trek geek, please go thru the Star Trek Experience and take lots of pictures. I haven't been since '99, and I know it's all different. Please! I really hope you all have a great time! Thanks in advance!

I don't know if I'll be there. But if I do, I'll be happy to oblige.

Of course.

For you, I'll be bringing a sample of Teek's BIG chocolate bar (hope I can still find it), a sample of Zygar's kinder eggs, and also if I can find them, the lovely chocolate penis pops (possibly cream filled for Rebbecca).

;)

Looks like I'll be in on Thursday. I was going to come in and volunteer, but was told they had enough people. I think they think I'll screw everything up. That's probably the way to bet.
