Some quick notes to get you started:

99% of what Alex Jones says is completely undocumented. He just makes stuff up--then challenges you to refute it. Nice, huh?

So no one but Alex Jones knows how his blurry video of Bohemian Grove proves the secret ruling elite of the world worship Moloch.

Look also for bad sources. Jones is fond of Fox News, NewsMax, and other bogus news sources. He even has his friends write phoney news articles and quotes them! Alex also cites news sources that he himself says are distrustful--such as the government. What can I say? The guy has cream of wheat for brains.

In those rare cases where Jones cites an actual, credible source, you will find that the sources don't say what Alex Jones says they say. Alex misreads everything.

No I do not admit it's a possibility. You need to prove it's a possibility, if you are going to make that claim. Making a claim, without proof, and asking others to prove you wrong is a logical fallacy.

Bohemian Grove is easy.

Alex Jones claims that his video shows the political leaders worshipping Molech. Several problems here:

Molech is half-man, half-bull. However, AJ says Molech is an owl but doesn't cite any proof. Point one.

The best time to worship Molech is on October. The grove is on July. Point two.

The words being said during at the grove at the "worship" has not proven to be a 'legit' form of worship for Molech. Example of this is the "Our father who art in heaven..." for Christians. Point three.

When I saw the Jon Ronson version of the Bohemian Grove documentary here in the UK I went to my local library and couldn't find any references to owls and Moloch. Now, that's not to say that I exhaustively researched Moloch, I have a life, but in most of the books I looked at owls were not mentioned. This should be a red flag for most people because if he's stridently arguing that the Owl is Moloch he is probably wrong.

The founders of Bohemian Grove were bohemian supposedly, but it is implausible that the founders of the Bohemian Grove wanted to be associated with human sacrifice. While Spiritualism was big in the US in the late Victorian times/early 20th Century, human sacrifice (in the biblical rather than sacrificial 'care' sense) was looked down upon as much then as now.

That seems pretty typical of Alex Jones. I don't think he's a shyster, he believes in what he's saying and is charismatic. In many ways this makes his impact on certain issues far, far worse because he's turning debate into conspiracy, religion, and hysteria. I'd very much recommend people compare the Jon Ronson Bohemian Grove documentary with Alex Jones'.

If you compare what he has written/said to Jon Ronson's coverage of the exact same subjects, specifically Jon Ronson's interviews with Bilderberg members, Alex Jones looks like a man determined only to see something in negative terms. Which is inherently biased, and raises the question whether his 'documentaries' are documentaries or editorials.

His USS Liberty version of events is the same thing. The reality is the facts are rather murky, but seem to point a particular way.

Jones ignores anything that refutes his claims, classifies all other evidence as "Clear" and "unrefuted" and "Self evident" and then makes up some more facts just for fun.

No. Most of these subjects have been thoroughly debunked already. I believe Oliver wants to further debunk any specific additions Alex Jones may of made to such fairy stories. Fitting in to a "need" isn't the case because it doesn't hurt to be thorough. Especially in the case of Alex Jones, because he weaves fact with fiction and is popular among the conspiracy theory crowd.

Well, there's plenty of Alex Jones refutation to read through on this site. The problem is actually not in locating it, it's in wading through all of it to get what you need. :)

If you had one of his specific works in mind, you might be able to locate it better by using the name of the work instead of just searching for "Alex Jones" and then ducking as the avalanche of links come back at you. ;) For example, here's a thread on his "Bohemian Grove" claims:

I will be participating in a radio debate tonight in which I am debunking all of my opponent's posted research. It astounds me that during the first round he took a "I'm just asking questions. I'm not going to lay the blame on the government." And yet his source page found at truthradio.tv/911 he lists Killtown (No-Planers), 9/11 Mysteries (doctored evidence), and Truth Rising.

That video was done by the Alex Jones Exposed blog, which appears to have discontinued operations (probably under threat of lawsuit from Jones). Basically it had to do with some of the advertisers on Alex's website having anti-semitic and Holocaust Denial material on their websites.

The real reason the blog is gone is that Edmond Standing blew a gasket (http://www.haloscan.com/comments.php?user=%20screwloosechange%20&comment=9061830192370305133#159701)and threw in the towel. He also left this forum in a huff (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?p=3746313#post3746313) if anyone remembers. The moral is not to get too emotionally invested in this sort of debate.

My thanks for looking into this. As I plan to rebroadcast the debates on my upcoming website, I have decided to step away from the anti-semitism/Alex Jones link. It is ironic that much of this is from fears of a lawsuit of slander/libel from a man who runs a business around it.

Perry Logan is a real person, and hasn't shown up here with a sock, as far as I know. So, don't expect him to show up.

He does have a website, though, if you'd like to go there and discuss this with him. It has quite the collection of Alex Jones Insanity, too,which is a plus!

Debunking london bombing theories, first problem, survivors who should have been killed, but miraculously weren't saw the bombs go off.
2nd problem, CCTV footage of the events exists, which was recorded and by civilian subcontractors who's companies work for the london underground as part of a PFI (private finance initiative) programme.
3rd Problem, forensic evidence, remains of the bombers at the scene, bank cards and other identifying property on their bodies.
4th, CCTV at Luton though blurry due to poor framerate, those men can be identified at the train station at the right time to get to london, and the 'train cancelled theory, is rubbish anyway, as the train they caught was before the cancelled service anyway.
5th, Bombs found in car at Luton.
6th Bomb residues which matched explosive substances used, were found at Alexandra Grove Hyde Park Leeds.
7th, its a bit big to cover up.
