Is this on purpose?

I've raised that point, too, but it appears nobody wants to answer it.
If Randi's new pic at the top of the page doesn't look Satanic, I don't know what would and I agree on the red/black combo - a colour scheme chosen by all the best Satanic and psychic sites:
Church of Satan (http://www.churchofsatan.com/)
Best Psychic Source (http://www.bestpsychicsource.com/)
White Magick (http://www.magickaschool.com/index.php)
I personally think it's great to be aligned to Satanists - christians all think we're Satanists anyway, so at least they'll be happy! (Interesting aside - I used to have black/red as the colour scheme for EA, but I am in the process of changing the pages to white with black type for exactly the reason that many people told me it looked like a Satanic/paranormalist site!)

It's no the right kind of red. And there isn't enough black.
/besides, a little green wouldn't hurt. Green is of the devil too, ever played Diablo 2 :D?

If it's gonna be red it should at least be scarlet.

That previous bright red thing was a bit odd, but this is nice.
Sometimes I like change for it's own sake. Shakes things up a bit. Not always, but if it's just appearence, go for it.

I have finally gotten used to the new color scheme. It doesn't hurt my eyes so much anymore. Or maybe my retinas have been burned out just enough.

I still just think it looks arancho-communistic, which doesn't bother me much. A satanist site would have a black background as well. Without too much experience of the matter, I think even the most incompetent of amateur web designers for satanist sites (and there are quite a few of those) would get that part right.
Getting the JREF (more) associated with satanism wouldn't benefit either, really.

Am I the only person here that actually prefers the new colour scheme? :)

Satan, a word meaning adversary, making satanic a fitting colour scheme for such a site as this, which exists in and for adversity to untruth and the abuse of people in darkness.
How is red and black satanic? Only in your perception.
Is Christ on his prophesied return also to be deemed satanic, what with the fire and brimstone and all? You didn't realise that the fire and brimstone and all the nasty stuff comes from the Lord?
Satan (adversary) and devil (accuser/slanderer) are forces living inside you, born of your mistrust of God. "God is Love." Chapter and verse, anyone?
Your friend,
Canadian Malcontent
P.S. A colour or colours in and of themselves are not evil. Evil lurks in the hearts of men.

Folks, I am your savior. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Look in the lower left hand corner. Notice the white field with the pull-down arrow that says "JREF default"? Click on that and choose "default style".
:) Enjoy.

Reading another thread, it seems some people couldn't figure that out before. Well it is tucked away down there. I too like the new look. Nice change of pace. Any chance of a "midnight edition"?
Ya know, I have to say one thing. A lot of atheists like to sympathise with the christian devil, but eh, not me really. If the christian god is a self absorbed abusive and just plain insane thing, then Satan is the spoiled rebelious teenage punk always begging for attention, who just so happened to have picked up a bit of sadism. That's another thing, isn't Jesus more of a second son of god, or maybe even 3rd after Adam? Is that how long it took for him to "get it right", and then he decides to off the guy in some big showy gesture which, for the life of me, I don't get why it was "necessary". Why put some poor soul through torture and send it to hell for a small amount of time? What rules state that this MUST be done? Is god "under" some higher set of rules, some Powers that Be above him?

Am I the only person here that actually prefers the new colour scheme? :)No, I'm just stirring, I think it's a huge improvement - never did like blue. Anything with BLACK has to be good! :D

All black would be cool. Bit hard to read, but still cool.

I think there should be a range of designer skins for this site, not just two.
I mean, why not have a primary colours one for the kiddies in school!
Or shades of salmon, taupe and aubergine for that "designer" look.
What would the Fab Five like? Dark brown with gold highlights and calico?
And I will not even ATTEMPT to guess what devotees of "Changing Rooms" would prefer!

If Randi's new pic
It's not a new pic. It's actually an old pic, previously used on a lot of JREF stuff, and in ads. It makes sense to use it on the forum, too.
Am I the only person here that actually prefers the new colour scheme? :)
What "new" colour scheme? :)
I like this better than the old one.
