Sharon - More Lies

Sharon, after taking down a few token settlements, encourages the expansion of existing ones, only "people should not talk about it and dance around every time a building permit is given".

IIRC, this is exactly what has happened after every other peace intiative. After a token effort at dismantling a few empty piles of rubbish, the settlement process never stops.

Defiant Sharon gives support to new settlements

Hopes for the Middle East "road map" dwindled further yesterday with news that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has told his ministers to ignore Israel's obligation to freeze building of Jewish settlements in the occupied territories.

According to widespread reports in the Israeli media, Mr Sharon told a cabinet meeting on Sunday that Israel did not accept the internationally sponsored road map's requirement that it halt all new construction in its settlements in the West Bank and Gaza.

"It is possible to build in the settlements, but people should not talk about it and dance around every time a building permit is given," the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth quoted him as saying. "They should build without talking."

I don't think I have ever praised Arafat much, if at all. However, the power in this case lies with those on the side of Sharon.

The road map states no new settlements and illegal ones are to be removed. Sharon has been one of the main state sponsors of settlements, from many years ago. He could be removing them as a sign of good faith. They serve no useful purpose in terms of keeping peace, but all Palestinians claims for peace ask for them to be removed.

Why not remove them? Instead he says that he is backing expansion, and everyone is to keep it quiet.

He also happens to have nukes, fighters, tanks, APCs, gun ships, attack helicopters, etc.

Actually it's quite clear that you should rename yourself. Jedi Knight is really incorrect given how your align yourself politically. In the Star Wars universe the Jedi's are aligned with the rebels (ie small terrorist forces) against the empire (ie big powerful armies like Israel/The US) etc... Maybe "Dark Jedi?" or something like that...

You need to get your world-view thinking straightened out. The Jedi were freedom-fighters because they were free men who had their freedom stolen by a dictator who created the "empire". The "empire" is like a communist empire and everyone knows that communism is the greatest perversion in history.

The United States and Israel are the two most staunch defenders of freedom in the world today. That is why it is important for both nations to keep and maintain their nuclear weapons on hair-trigger alert because of the sheer number of commies, Islamofascists and other brain-damaged people trying to destroy freedom (Europe, Islamic countries, China, North Korea, etc etc).

War hero to some, brutal and cynical murderer to others. Just like terrorists are freedom fighters to those they fight and die for, and evildoers to those who don't understand what is going on in their heads.

You should take off the rose colored visor from that Darth Vader helmet you wear and read up some more on Sharon. May I suggest some sources outside the US as you cannot get a real overview here, it's all from the Israeli POV.
