Don't worry I'm sure Alex Jones can come up with a new Conspiracy Theory for the new people in office. He's going to have to....its his bread and butter.

Apparently, Robert Gates (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/6130296.stm) has been nominated as the next chappy in charge.
I just hope he honours our pay agreements. I gotta put food on the table.

I wonder if there was a similar resignation back in Nazi Germany.

Anyone have the thought that with Dems in charge of the house, he would be effectively handcuffed and rendered innefective?
Not to mention dealing with endless investigations bent on finding something, anything, wrong or possibly of marginal legality?
Good or bad-in politics, character assignation and ad populum both work--and it matters not whether one is guilty or innocent, the mere act of being accused is a death knell for just about anyone.
I have to respect the guy for resigning, iff my hypothesis is the correct one.

I guess I'll have to delete "Old Man Rumsfeld" (http://www.capsteps.com/) from my memory stick, now.

The timing of this fascinates me. Considering Rumsfeld's immense unpopularity, I would have thought that canning him well before yesterday's elections would have given the Republicans a boost. I suppose they were worried that doing so would be seen as a sign of weakness or failure.

No, this is a loss for the Truthers. It's simple. I'll let "Briaman" explain:
IMHO - This is merely a manouever to avoid Rumsfeld having to appear before a congressional investigation into the wars in Afganistan and Iraq. Lets make sure he doesn't get away with it!

So they seem to think that the minute someone leaves office they can no longer be accused, investigated, tried, and convicted of crimes against humanity? Godamn morons.

This is wonderful!
High lord Rumsfeld is now free to rain his terror down on the fraile sheeple. Now that he has resigned from his cover job, he will assume command of the NWO imperial fleet and use the energy beam weapons to destroy our enemies (namely the LC boys and Uncle fetzer).

How long will it take before we see Iran-Contras conspiracy theories involving the new secretary of Defense Robert Gates poping up?

Is it merely a concidence that Gates is the President of Texas A & M, the very university Morgan Reynolds taught at, and previously issued a statement condemning him?
I think the truthers have taught us, there is no such thing as concidence...
