perhaps a bit off topic but:

I think lying, cheating, corrupt CEOs and corperate boards should have their assets frozen and then distributed as financial aid for all the folks that lost jobs and lost money in pension schemes and investments due to the dishonest actions of the CEOs and boards. There assets should also be given as financial aid to the families of and individuals serving in the armed forces as they protect the interests of these greedy individuals and corperations.

Perhaps not practical, definately idealistic, but that is what I would like to see. Unfortuanely the world is not fair.

I know what JAR's getting at. He's using a reverse tactic toget us thinking...He will show us how a disproportinate amount of pell grants and subsidised student loans go to white people. So all these non-white tax payers are paying the financial aid of these college bound white kids. JAR is appalled at this and wants to right this wrong. He is goingto shame everyone who votes "NO".

I had to vote yes because the question is so vague in what it implies. Is my paying taxes that goes into a universal healthcare program that someone of another ethnic group takes advantage of count? If so, then the only ethical answer in my mind is yes.

He's using a classic deceptive argument against any kind of distributions.

I have no idea what he is, or if he is such a person, but this is the classic, described method (I've found sites that include "how to argue with liberals and other victims" that include a tutorial into how to use outrageous comparisons, slippery slopes, and deceptive argumentation (such as laying false opinions on the people who disagree with you) ) that at least one or two anti-freedom sites suggest in how to attack a site that won't kowtow to their particular agenda.

Uh, a lot of people that get government benefits are white, some are black, latins, etc.
Most programs are income based so there is no color line to cross, in fact in Illinois in most counties the recipients of aid are white. Or disabeled or elderly.

NO to reparations, if thats the question.

I agree with the former poster, why the heck do we keep subsidising wealthy corporation?

I do agree that the corrupt executives should be punished.

But, you have to be careful about who would get any 'financial aid'. Some honest people lost their jobs/money, but others knew what was going on (even if they weren't in control), and profited greatly from it at the time.
