View Full Version : Can't Sylvia be called out on the Challenge?

I'm new here, so maybe this has been addressed. If so, I apologize. But since Sylvia agreed at least twice to take the Challenge, and Larry King said he would help, why isn't she, well...pressured strongly to take the Test she agreed to ages ago? She has her excuses, but is that really the end of it? Can she really get away with waffling forever? Has anyone called her to task lately?
I just had to know. Also, and as for John Edward and his "why would I take a test from a man with an adjective for a first name?" stupidity, has anyone ever said, "well, why would I want a reading from a guy who's first name is synomonous with a toilet?"

It's my view that she won't accept the challenge because she knows she'll fail it. No one can force her to do so; all we can do is try and inform people. Unfortunately there is no shortage of people who want to believe in this sort of thing; people who don't want to hear that she has no special powers.

There is a "stop Sylvia" Web site--are you familiar with that?

No, I'm not familiar with that. I will be in a moment, tho. Thanks!
Yeah, I know she's afraid of the challenge, I just wondered if she can't somehow be forced to, once and for all, put up or shut up, especially since she agreed on camera.
Oooh, nice site! I can't wait until it is really up and running. :)

Well, you could ask her to put up or shut up, but I predict she'll do neither. I don't see how you could force her, or if you'd really want to do that.

There are upcoming changes to the challenge which are going to involve going after psychics rather than just waiting for random people to apply. We won't know exactly what's going to happen until Randi announces it, but it seems likely that he's fed up with only bordeline mental people applying and has people like Sylvia in his sights.

I LOVE the sign! I really have to learn to stop drinking while I'm reading some of these posts. One day I'll likely choke myself to death laughing! :D Oh, I do mean that in a positive way. This place really lifts my spirits. Oops, no pun intended. Sheesh, I'm getting a little too wired here...

YES! That would be wonderful. I wonder how he'll go about it. Hmmm...I'm new here, but maybe I can find more info on the Million Dollar Challenge Forum? I'll go and check.

I've been wondering about that. Glad to hear that there's some progress being made in the background.

I've been wondering about that. Glad to hear that there's some progress being made in the background. After several weeks of personal stuff (moving, etc) which kept me from making any progress, I have been able to dig in, but the majority of the time I've spent on it is just getting the "look and feel" of the site together, using things which are new to me (such as CSS and PHP).

Hang in there. There will be some content on the site very soon.
