Proof that God as a sense of humour (http://www.boingboing.net/2006/11/15/charles_darwin_appar.html). Or just another example of godless pareidolia.

Well, I guess that is a refreshing change of pace.
Heh! Thanks for the post!
But where will he turn up next, I wonder? A bowl of oatmeal?

Damn, I meant "has a sense of humour", and now I can't edit. I hate it when that appens ;).

Because he looks too much like his more popular brother and father, Charlie and Martin Sheen. So even though his holy image may appear in grease stains and bread crumbs left on a table as a sign of his greatness for all to witness, pareidolia makes it appear as it's either of the other two...

I've always wondered why God himself never appears in my toast etc. I'm kind of fed up with Jesus and Virgin Mary hogging the limelight. Maybe if God showed himself, I might start believing....

Emilio and Charlie both look a lot like their father, but they don't look much like each other, and that is a true mystery.
But seriously, you'd need a lot of precision and detail in an image for it to be recognizable as someone as generic-looking as Emilio Esteves, a lot less for the distinctive visage of Darwin, and, to many people at least, any old blob looks like the Virgin Mary.

There is a rule against making an image of God. That is why he never appears in your toast. Besides you do not know what he looks like so even if you saw him you would not recognise him.

You are a false prophet, Grimoire - I repudiate you! If that's the real FSM, where are his angel wings and the celestial choir?
It's a Forked Spaghetti Meatball, and that's as close as it gets. Although I think it looks pretty like Jesus (albeit with a fork stuck in his head).
I am a deacon in the New Revised Amended FSM Church. I believe that He flies, that he is of the wheaten kind, and that he is monstrous. Praise Be! :covereyes

Actually, it turns out God has been burning his image into toast since the day toast was invented.
But since we don't know what he looks like, we've never recognized it!
It's like creationism: once you accept that God looks like everything, you can see God's image everywhere!

That's hilarious! It's such a good likeness as well.
Seeing the photo next to the tree trunk reminds me, these sightings are really sightings of paintings and photos rather than people or gods. That fact doesn't get much air time.

It is not just the Platypus that is strange. It is lots of other Australian animals are almost as strange. Name an animal that can be pregnant for a variable amount of time. I am not just talking a few weeks one way or another. I am talking about months at a time. Or if the season is ideal, breed very fast. Answer below.
Kangaroo of course

Meh, looks more like the face on mars or a stormtrooper mask. Wonder how many angles it took to get anything resembling humanity type features.
