On the news here in Sydney today heard that the police are after a Psychic for fraudently taking money from people. She was not a Psychic but a fraud. You mean there is a difference. Apparently one man gave her $300,000 .
Well a fool and his money are soon parted. Will keep my eyes and ears peeled for this news in the coming days.

Who was the guy who gave her $300K? I think we can sell him a certain bridge...

Do you mean "Nasty Nina"? (http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/cleansing-evil-con-spirits-500000-away/2006/11/17/1163266741462.html)
The psychic promised, during five or six 10-minute sessions, to rid the cash of a family curse.[My bold]"Then they'll say 'you really should have all your money cleansed so you don't have bad luck and your family can be prosperous'. And once the victims hand over the money, they're gone."
Whilst being suckered by this beggars belief somewhat, I concede that this is pure robbery. The crime is not that the "service" she provided was a load of bonk—but that she breached the contract to "clean the money and give it back" and instead made off with it.
Only a psychic could have forseen that she would do that though . . .
ETA: Is it a crime (anywhere) to actually practice and charge for "psychic services"? I'm not aware that it is. So in the eyes of the law, a psychic would not be committing fraud just by charging $300K to do a detailed woo analysis.

Zep,
Her name is Giuseppa a 60-year-old victim who went to the "psychic" seeking help for her depression.
Just goes to show what kind of a slime Nina is. She is still on the run.

Maybe a typo would get her off . . .

Too bad the victims didn't know what Sylvia Browne has to say about such psychics:
Other "psychics" tell people that their problems are caused by the person's own negative blocks, curses, evil entities, demons, or karmic retribution. Do not believe these things. They do not exist. Only a fraud will tell you such things.

Can you think of something more constructive than blaming the victim?

That's not blame, it's a statement of fact.

It isn't too constructive.
So we have a psychic who is called a fraud, and a victim who is called a fool.
Where's the constructive criticism?
Must be the 'new' organized skepticism.

Is that constructive criticism? Stop with the pathetic attempts at baiting and offer some thoughts yourself. I suppose you'll continue this line of waffle until your mate appears? Why don't you just pm him?
Since I had posted in this thread, you are telling me that I am involved in some organisation. Are you claiming to be a psychic yourself?

If you couldn't tell by the very title and first post this is a Psychic bashing thread. And you telling him it's not very constructive isn't very constructive just like me saying this isn't either.
If you really believe there exists constructive criticism for what happend to that guy I'm all ears to hear what it is. You might want to tac on some proof for the easter bunny while you're at it.
The best I can come up with is hopefully the dumb:Dss learned something. Really. You can't expect sympathy for that type of "victim".
EDIT: I agree with Sat, that was a fairly obvious attempt to bait since it didn't really add anything to the thread.

I was not blaming the victim just stating the bleeding obvious. I posted this because I thought it would be of interest to this group.
