Hi, everybody. Just wanted to give an update on the progress made in the missing persons case.

FYI: Mediums suck.

Read the full story here, as this will be a continuation:

http://skepticalanalysis.com/id64.html

Today I spoke with a Sergeant at the Houston Police Department who was kind enough to give me Duane's Social Security Number (as listed on an arrest record). The arrest record is now the most recent proof we have of Duane's continued existence. Unfortunately, it's from 1990, when he was arrested for scrapping with another homeless man. You read that right, I said ANOTHER homeless man.

According to the report, Duane's occupation was "laborer" and he had no address. The Sergeant said that, therefore, he was probably homeless at the time. He was unable to give specific information, but did say that there was no conviction record.

The Sergeant pointed out a major problem we have in our search for Duane that we'd been hoping to ignore - we don't have a photo of him. Not on the site, not in our possession. Neither does anyone else.

So this is also a call to all Rice University Alumni.

Did you attend Rice University between 1967 and 1977? (This is as close as we can get to the actual dates Duane attended.) If so, please check your yearbook for a photo of Duane Maney.

If you have one, please scan it and send it to founder@skepticalanalysis.com

You'll be helping the search enormously.

Thanks again, everyone, for your interest and help, and I hope to hear from you soon!

I missed by [holds up fingers] that much; I was there in 1979. I'll talk to some friends who might have those yearbooks. Your best bet is probably the websites with the photos or the yearbook staff at Rice.

Wow! Well, thanks for checking, Ladewig! According to the documentation I have, he was in the Navy from 1977-1983, so I'm guessing he couldn't be at Rice at the same time...

If you have any luck with your friends, please let me know, and thanks again!
