Although interesting, the test means very little as it appears to be more propaganda than a test. For example, what does Hitler have to do with Separation of Church/State in America? Without knowing the answer outright, it was fairly easy to guess correctly by picking the answer which seemed to be least likely.

I didn't do so hot with the history. I'm probably doomed to repeat it.

No denying it was propoganda, but I think the makers were putting out the fact that one of the greatest evils our world has ever known advocated strict faith in schools. I think this says something.

I agree that it says something. However, I just felt that inclusion of such items in a quiz detracts from the legitimacy of the results.

As I said, no doubt it's propoganda :)

That's the point - you could easily imagine such a rigid, close-minded statement coming from Falwell, but - surprise - it comes from another fanatic.
I scored 18/21 and won a Buick!

Yes, but of the informative sort since it is my experience that most of the Christians I know believe that "In God We Trust" and "under God" were pretty much always there - instead of knowing the truth, that they were a part of the repressed 50's.
They also believe that the founding father's were all a bunch of bible thumping fundies - and I'm sure this is due (to some extent) to the way in which their legacy is involked by scumbags like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell.
The treaty of 1797 is interesting in the sense that it states rather boldly that the US is not a Christian nation. IMO, this treaty - coming as it did 9 years after the ratificaton of the Constitutional - represents very closely the thinking of the founding fathers on the subject of religion.

13 out of 21 but I'd say I guessed a lot. If it had been a fill-in-the-blank quiz, I'd have surely scored in the single digits.
I got some nice parting gifts though.;)
Take care,
Sort:)
