Couldn't you have put this in the thread you've already started on Bill Koening? Is everything a new thread with you?

The following quotes are from the article.
Since its modern establishment, the state of Israel has been a hotbed of controversy. Jews and Palestinians have long battled over who should rightfully inhabit the land of Israel, a land promised to the Jews 4,000 years ago. In the Bible, the book of Genesis details the covenant God made with the descendants of Abraham. And therein lies the problem. The Palestinians don't recognize the Bible as an authority, let alone a legal document, giving the land to the Jews. Further, they really don't believe in the Jewish God, let alone that he has the authority to give the land to anyone. It's the equivalent of a child saying "that's mine 'cause my daddy says so."
For more than a decade, America has led attempts to settle that dispute, each time encouraging Israel to bring its covenant lands to the bargaining table, this time with the "Road Map" peace plan. Bible scholars say that may be a costly decision for the U.S. as America again stands at odds with God's covenant promise.
U.S. Consul General Jeffrey Feltman said, "What we need to do now is implement and focus on how we get the two sides back to a political process and towards the vision of a two-state solution: Israel and Palestine living side by side."
It comes down to a question of what is more important: Preserving one of two conflicting religious faiths that may lead to their mutual distruction or arriving at the greater good for the most people. Religious extremists really are enemies of peace, billie, and will ultimately bring nothing but death and distruction.
The very next day [after the US failed to fully support Isreal's bid for the area] began the worst month of tornadoes in American history, more than 500 in a single month. Coincidence, billie. This is yet another example of people taking advantage of a tragity to further their own personal views. And, although it was not caused on purpose, this could be considered a form of terrorism. "Destroy Palastine or God will punish you with more devistation." Is that the message here?
[Koeing said] "I believe the Lord will allow these events to happen that disrupt the peace process," he said. "As long as you are going to have a terrorist infrastructure that's allowed to co-exist in the nation Israel, we're going to have a problem." I believe that says it all right there. Submit to our demands or God will punish you.
<hr>edited to add:And with those same terrorist groups opposed to America's brand of peace, the future of the Road Map is dim. One wonders which set of terrorists the article refers to. At least they are united in their dislike/hatred of US policy, eh?

Sheesh that article was retarded.
On October 30, 1991, in a meeting scheduled by the first President Bush, Israelis and Palestinians discussed ways to achieve peace in the Middle East. Opening talks focused on trading the lands of Israel for a peace agreement.
That same day, thousands of miles away, a powerful storm was brewing off the coast of Nova Scotia. On October 31st, what would be called "The Perfect Storm" smashed into New England, pummeling the President's Kennebunkport, Maine home with waves 30 feet high. It was a storm so rare that the weather patterns required to create it only happen once every 100 years.
Wow. I'm convinced.

Then wouldnt all the fools who say ALLAH and GOD are the same are liars?
Upchurch,if you think it is all coincidence, would you be saying that if millions of people vanish off the face of the earth at once?

Regardless, neither of them are available for comment.
Upchurch,if you think it is all coincidence, would you be saying that if millions of people vanish off the face of the earth at once? First of all, billie, it won't be millions of people. Revelations says it'll be a couple hundred thousand male virgins. Second of all, that assumes that the Bible is accurate. Third, if it actually happens I will be greatly impressed and change my mind about the whole situation. The thing is, there is no way that I will be going with them at this point because I'm not a virgin and can never become one again.
Regardless, it hardly justifies the use of this kind of terrorism by religious extremists.

Well, it would dramatically improve the unemployment situation, opening up hundreds of thousands of new and better paying jobs...though, it might cause something of a crash in home values...But, I figure any good Satanic economic recovery plan (including new and better tax cuts and possibly perminent elimination of dividend taxes) will quickly lead to new investment and an eventual recovery...just in time for the 2004 election.

billie, if you think it is not a noincidence, would you be saying that if millions of people (or rather, 144,000 people) never just vanish off the face of the earth all at once? Are you prepared to be wrong?
Also, this has nothing to do with Koenig's terrorist-like statements, does it?

Hello billiefan2000,
But what if millions vanished suddenly? Would that *prove* anything anyhow? You might want to believe the rapture has taken place but why not a massive alien abduction? And how would you tell the difference anyhow? But I digress.
I think attributing natural disasters and such to the wrath of God is quite problematic. If it rains, does that mean God is happy or sad or angry? How would you know anyhow?
Take care,
Sort:)
