"Iranian president: "U.S. governs by coercion" (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061129/ts_nm/iran_usa_letter_dc)
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a letter to the American people on Wednesday, accused their government of "coercion, force and injustice" and urged the United States to pull out of Iraq
You should elect a just and fair president who rules as a nice and trustworthy guy, like President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad!
Pope embarks on mission to boost Christian unity (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061129/ts_nm/pope_turkey_dc)
Pope Benedict embarked on Wednesday on his second mission in Turkey, to improve ties between Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians, after winning approval for his conciliatory views on Turkey and Islam.
After that, he's going to bring peace to the Middle East and convince Kim Jong Il to take his pills, which brings me to...
U.S. bans sale of iPods to North Korea (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061129/ap_on_go_pr_wh/nkorea_ipod_diplomacy)
The Bush administration wants North Korea's attention, so like a scolding parent it's trying to make it tougher for that country's eccentric leader to buy iPods, plasma televisions and Segway electric scooters.
Fine. If you want to play "Cold War" with your little nuclear weapons, we won't let you play with our toys. We'll economically bomb you back to the stone age!

Levi Strauss and Coke both lost multinational deals when Jimmy Carter invoked a selected boycott in 1979 over the USSR invasion of Afghanistan.
I wonder if North Koreans can by PS 3's or Wii's from Japan.

Yes, let's cripple our nations industries by giving an evil dictator a gentle slap on the wrist.

Well since the only people in North Korea who can afford iPods are Kim Jong Il and his posy I doubt our industry will be that crippled by the loss of that market.

According to Amazon's list of top selling electronics (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/electronics/51549011/ref=pd_ts_pg_1/002-7072915-9852031?ie=UTF8&pg=1) the iPod sales are doing quite fine. Not much to worry for Apple if Kim can't have the latest model anymore. :)

Don't call us Poms, say Poms
A GROUP of rather thin-skinned English expatriates wants the word Pom banned, claiming it is a racial slur on a par with
the dreaded n-word used in America.

The whole point is to keep the iPods and PS3's out of Kim's hands! Screw the citizens (as always). :D

I voted for the ipods. My big question is how many people have the means to download anything even if they get one?

I voted for iPods to DPRK, mainly because my understanding is that the embargo was specifically targeted at Kim Jong-Il personally. The sequel to Team America practically writes itself, doesn't it?

I voted for the Ipods. Nobody in North Korea has anything to plug them into to recharge them, and even if they did download one of Kim Il Sung's old speeches, they'd immediately get arrested for "possessing unauthorized information."
And never mind there's probably not a single Radio Shack in North Korea.

Good one.:D Every time I pay cash for an overpriced 9V battery at Radio Shack, they start taking down my name and address, and I think, dang, I'll have to move AGAIN.
