1. A very fast expensive sports car... probably something black... or maybe yellow.
2. A whole mess of money <sarcasm>so I can give it to charity</sarcasm>.
3. Three more wishes.

Cant help it. I'm greedy and I dont like to share with strangers.

1. A large estate on Planet X

2. A holiday home on Atlantis

3. A never ending packet of Tim Tams (http://www.arnotts.com/Biscuits/OurBiscuitsP.asp?BID=79)

Tim Tams are Australia’s favourite chocolate biscuit. Around 30 million packs are sold each year - that’s nearly 300 million biscuits, or two packs for every Australian.

There are eight delicious varieties of Tim Tams: Original, Chewy Caramel, Mocha, Double Coat and Classic Dark Chocolate, Special Edition Tim Tam Hazelnut, Limited Edition White Chocolate and new Special Edition Chewy Choc Fudge.
Sounds Yum-dilly-icious!

It's according to the type of wish fulfilment model we're dealing with.

I'd wish for:

1. Inexpensive, instantaneous, safe and repeatable transport to/from any point in the universe. (I.e. anyone with decent mechanical/electrical aptitude can set it up and use it from anywhere, to reach anywhere.)

2. Inexpensive, repeatable, rapid terraforming of worlds. (Get a sustainable habitat almost immediately working on any piece of rock. Like planting a seed that grows to fill an empty world.)

3. Keys to lock/unlock the gateways between worlds. (Once you have made your "new eden", you can shut the door behind you and lock it.)

This would at least spread life and humanity throughout the universe, where they can't directly get their hands on each other to kill each other, and limit the spread of madness and disease, and generally solve the "all eggs in one basket" problem we have here on Earth.

Of course, if this is the "evil djinn" model, some sort of horrible side-effect of this transport would occur. Discovery of a space-faring race that takes an instant dislike to humanity as soon as it begins spreading, for instance. This is only a minor inconvenience if they discover mankind centuries after we spread. By then, there should be humanity scattered *everywhere*, and no amount of mass-extinction attempts could make a dent in it.

Of course, this won't solve all of the problems on Earth. There are still the morons who'll kill each other over their "holy" places when the means to make new ones is within reach. People will still overpopulate and starve. People will still find excuses for violence and horror. It's just that the acts of these retards would not threaten EVERYONE ever again.

The "Evil Djinn" model isnt the case here. Yet, if it was we know that the idiot Wish Master always manages to fall on that big sword at the end of every movie doesnt he.

1> The intellect, wisdom, ability, and opportunity to make the next two wishes the best wishes possible...

Spent *WAY* too much time thinking about this kind of nonsense when I played D&D as a teenager. ;)

1. Anti-gravity.

2. Faster-than-Light propulsion.

3. Free energy.

All of the above must be built with the same level of technology that a 1952 Buick has.

I would wish for immortality, but that would cause way too much bloodshed.

Upon reading the rest of the thread, I would like to change my vote to JustSayGnosis'.

Heh - me too, but from the other side as a Game Master. (How many ways can I warp a player character's wish to make it null, dangerous, or part of my plan?)

What if you wrote a book about the person you want to be? Detail physical characteristics, lifespan, access to technology, intelligence, wisdom, etc....

Then you wish:
1 ) I wish everything in this book were true.

I'd like just one - someone else can have the other 2.

A young boy I know has terminal cancer and I really wish he'd make a full recovery. I feel sad and oddly guilty that my family is healthy while he will, in all probability, not make it more than another month or so. Sorry for the serious note - he was on my mind.

Take care,

I sorta liked Sort's

I would wish for the benefit of the World ;):

1) A cheap, non-polluting, totally renewable energy source.

2) World patent on the above.

3)...... I'm sure I'll think of something ;)

1) This first thing I would want was more wishes!

2) After I got that squared away I guess nonpolluting energy source that was cheap and safe would be nice.

3) A distribution system that would end world hunger would also be a fine wish.

I'd have to use my extra wishes for FTL travel (good one Yahzi), world peace, and maybe a Ferrari 360 Modena for myself, (of course I would not need to drive it after I gave my self god-like powers from a wish, it would be all for show).

2. & 3. = Err...If I'm granted #1. then I won't really give a rat's ass about 2. & 3.

Results so far;

Myself = 29.73%
The World = 40.54%

So, the altruists outnumber the selfish bastards. Never saw that one coming.

Assuming this is your standard Magic Lamp Genie, I get a trusted friend to get more wishes.

1. Real Zoids(I'm obsessed, and will probably be for the rest of my life.)

2. The skills to pilot Zoids.(Did I mention I'm a teen?)

3. End of World Hunger

4. An end to Fundamentalists.

5. Ability to make Anime Science work.

6. CN to bring back Cowboy Bebop and Zoids: CC

I'm bad at hellos, mainly due to the fact that I cannot stop Roleplaying.
If you see me acting strange, I've lapsed back into Lost Reaverbot's Character.
I probably wasted half my wishes.

1) Mankind being immune to disease and genetic defects until the age of 18. No more kids dying of cancer.

2) EvilDave's instantaneous transport wish.

3) A map of all the planets in the Local Cluster of galaxies which are capable of sustaining human life but have no sentient life on them currently.

I like the idea of terraforming but I have seen Star Trek II too many times to think that instantaneous terraforming is a good idea.

My first wish would be for the Rapture to happen, already. The world will be a much better place without all those fanatics. My second wish would be for all the non-Christian fanatics to go with them, otherwise, we'll just trade one group of fanatics for some other group of fanatics. My third wish would be for a triple scoop of neopolitan ice cream!

Actually, I really liked the one that said "The wisdom, intellect and opportunity to make the next two wishes the best they could possibly be"

So, that would probably be it.

BUT, not counting that or the 'more wishes' wish, I'd want 1:Control over matter 2:Control over time and...uh...well, that pretty much covers everything. Oh,and 3: The knowledge and wisdom to use it all perfectly well.

I would wish for billions and billions of dollars.

Oh, I know that money won't make me happy but with enough money I can hire someone to kill anyone who makes me unhappy. :D
